It's not certain that Nashville Predators GM David Poile will give RFA Calle Jarnkrok a qualifying offer.

On top of that, Poile said he doesn't expect to be active in free agency, "Right now, I feel like we've made so many changes in the previous couple of years that bringing back almost the entire roster is the right thing to do." Jarnkrok will be entering his age-24 season after completing his rookie campaign. The once highly touted prospect registered just 18 points in 74 games, and has 27 points in 86 career games. Jarnkrok didn't produce a ton in the AHL either, scoring just 18 goals and 48 points over 72 career games.

Calle Jarnkrok is battling an illness.

Jarnkrok might miss Nashville's season finale as a result. It would be surprising if the illness made him unavailable for Game 1 of the first round. He has seven goals and 18 points in 73 contests in 2014-15.
Apr 10 - 4:19 PM

Calle Jarnkrok rejoined the lineup Saturday night with James Neal injured.

Jarnkrok had been scratched the past two games. He has six goals and 15 points this season, while averaging 13:04 of ice time.
Mar 14 - 11:09 PM

Calle Jarnkrok, Victor Bartley, and Anton Volchenkov will be scratched against the Kings on Saturday night.

Jarnkrok has had a nice rookie season through 61 games with six goals and 15 points to go along with winning 46% of his 555 draws thus far. Bartley has put together a nice season as well with 10 points, 26 PIMs, 49 blocks, and 69 hits through just 35 games.
Mar 14 - 8:00 PM

Calle Jarnkrok has been a healthy scratch for the last two games.

He has watched three of the past six games from the press box. Coach Peter Laviolette has chosen to play Viktor Stalberg instead, but he isn't displeased with the way Jarnkrok has played.
Mar 13 - 11:52 AM

Calle Jarnkrok is a healthy scratch Monday night in Madison Square Garden.

Jarnkrok had dressed for the Preds in their last three games but will be out of the lineup Monday night versus the Rangers. He’s played in 58 games this season and has recorded six goals and nine assists and shouldn’t be owned in any fantasy format right now. Taylor Beck will dress in his place Monday.
Mar 2 - 7:13 PM

Calle Jarnkrok wasn't scratched for Tuesday's game after all.

He scored a goal against Colorado after he was in the press box for Sunday's game versus Buffalo. "I thought Calle had an excellent game," coach Peter Laviolette said. "He certainly had jump and pop to his game. We were looking for that from him and he responded." Jarnkrok has six goals and 15 points in 56 contests this season.
Feb 25 - 3:03 PM

Calle Jarnkrok and Victor Bartley will be scratched against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night.

It's tough to keep a rookie who has just four goals and 14 points through 55 games in the lineup, so Jarnkrok will sit for his second straight game. Bartley has nine points and 63 hits through 31 games this season.

Calle Jarnkrok and Victor Bartley will be scratched against the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday night.

Jarnkrok has had a nice rookie season for himself with five goals and 14 points in 55 game this season. But he doesn't quite seem fantasy-ready yet. If you're in a deep, dynasty pool though, stay patient.
Feb 22 - 5:50 PM

Calle Jarnkrok scored the game-winning goal in Nashville's 3-1 win over Minnesota on Saturday.

Jarnkrok's buried a rebound off an Olli Jokinen shot to give Nashville a 2-1 lead early in the third period. The 23-year-old has been quietly effective for the Predators. Jarnkrok has five goals, 11 points and a plus-8 rating in 37 games this season.
Jan 11 - 10:20 AM

Calle Jarnkrok scored a goal and added an assist for Nashville in a 5-3 loss to the Bruins Tuesday.

Jarnkrok and Taylor Beck each registered two points in the losing effort, but their line was the only trio on the Predators to cause any damage in this outing. Colin Wilson also recorded his eighth goal of the campaign in the defeat.

Calle Jarnkrok has played well since being bumped up to a line with Craig Smith and Colin Wilson.

"I think that since Calle has been up there on that line he provides a real sense of responsibility," coach Peter Laviolette said. "He's a real smart two-way player and I think he has the ability to play good defense but also has the skill to provide good offense." Jarnkrok has contributed one goal and four assists in his past seven outings.

Calle Jarnkrok is getting faceoff tips from teammate Paul Gaustad, in addition to watching plenty of video.

The lessons might be paying off as he has topped 70 percent on his draws in his past two games and he won 60 percent of his faceoffs last Tuesday versus Edmonton. "I've always been a centerman so I have always taken faceoffs," said Jarnkrok. "The guys are stronger here and better here in this league so I have to keep working and getting better every day." He'll need to start working on his offense next. Jarnkrok has posted one assist and 16 shots in 13 games this campaign.

Calle Jarnkrok will probably get a chance to secure a top-six spot among Nashville's forward group in 2014-15.

He registered two goals and nine points in 12 games with the Predators after he was acquired from Detroit in the David Legwand trade. Jarnkrok picked up two points in three games for AHL Milwaukee in the playoffs. He's someone who could be worth monitoring next year.
