Quinton Howden has been summoned by the Winnipeg Jets.

The 24-year-old has posted seven goals and nine points in 11 games with AHL Manitoba. For his career, he's scored 17 points in 98 career NHL games, so we wouldn't expect much from him.
Nov 12 - 4:00 PM

Quinton Howden has been waived by the Jets.

The Winnipeg native signed with his hometown team as a free agent, but it looks like he will start the year in the minors if he doesn't get claimed. The Jets also placed Brenden Kichton and J.C. Lipon on waivers.

Signing with the Winnipeg Jets was "a dream come true" for Quinton Howden.

Howden, who was born in Winnipeg, signed with the Jets as an unrestricted free agent over the summer. "This is a dream come true. I’ve said it lots of times before but it still hasn’t sunk in," said Howden. "It feels like in two weeks I’ve got to pack up and leave again. I’m so used to doing that. It’s nice to be settled and I’m really excited to get things under way." The 24-year-old was originally drafted by Florida in the first round of the 2010 draft. He had six goals and 11 points in 58 games with the Panthers last season. This may be a nice story, but don't expect Howden to have any fantasy value this season.

Quinton Howden has agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with the Winnipeg Jets.

Jul 1 - 3:04 PM

Quinton Howden didn't get a qualifying offer from Florida.

He skated in 58 games with the Panthers in 2015-16, but he also spent plenty of time in the press box as a healthy scratch. Greg McKegg, Dylan Olsen and John McFarland weren't tendered qualifying offers either, so all of them can become UFAs on July 1.
Jun 27 - 6:07 PM

Quinton Howden has been in the doghouse for a while.

He was a healthy scratch in 11 of the final 16 regular-season games and he has been in the press box for all four playoff contests. In 58 appearances this year, Howden pitched in six goals and 11 points.
Apr 22 - 8:08 AM

Quinton Howden and Greg McKegg will be scratched Saturday against Carolina.

Through his first season as a full-timer in the NHL, Howden posted 11 points with 54 PIMs and 116 hits in 58 games. Not too shabby for the 24-year-old considering he spent the season on the fourth line primarily.
Apr 9 - 1:03 PM

Quinton Howden has been a healthy scratch for the last four games.

He has also been in the press box for six of the past seven. Coach Gerard Gallant has liked the play of Garrett Wilson on the fourth line and Howden hasn't played since he made a costly turnover against the Islanders back on Mar. 14.

The former first-round pick in 2010 has six goals and 11 points in 54 games this season. He's been a healthy scratch in four of the last five games. Shawn Thornton will join him in the press box.
