Corey Tropp was a healthy scratch on Friday night.

It was thought that he could make his Ducks debut against Florida, but that didn't end up being the case. Tropp hasn't played in the NHL since 2014-15 when he appeared in 61 games for Columbus.

Corey Tropp is expected to fill in for the suspended Antoine Vermette and make his Ducks debut on Friday against the Panthers.

The 27-year-old winger has posted 17 goals with 48 points in 57 games with AHL San Diego since joining the franchise last season. He has 27 points in 148 career NHL games split between Columbus and Buffalo.

Corey Tropp has signed a two-year extension with Anaheim.

He will earn $600,000 in the NHL or $250,000 in the AHL for the 2016-17 campaign as well as $650,000 (NHL) or $250,000 (AHL) in 2017-18. Tropp posted 11 points in 15 games with San Diego of the AHL last season.

He had been playing with AHL Albany, where he had 11 goals and 28 points in 51 games, on loan from the Rockford IceHogs.

Corey Tropp and Justin Falk were scratched against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.

While Falk has no fantasy value to speak of, Tropp has played nicely in his 61 games of work this season. Tropp has amassed eight points, 76 PIMs, and 80 hits. Not too shabby for the fourth line winger.
