Corey Tropp damaged both the MCL and ACL in his right knee while playing for the AHL Rochester Americans.
We already knew that he had ligament damage that would be season-ending, but now we have more specifics. He'll first rehab his MCL and then have surgery to for his ACL. Tropp's sustained the injury when he was checked by the Syracuse Crunch's Radko Gudas. Tropp initially attempted to continue to play and even resumed his position in the ongoing power play. However, that only lasted for 15 or 20 seconds before Tropps limped to the bench. "It’s kind of worst-case scenario," Tropp said. "Yeah, it sucks, there’s no easy way to put it."
