Corey Tropp and Justin Falk were scratched against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.
While Falk has no fantasy value to speak of, Tropp has played nicely in his 61 games of work this season. Tropp has amassed eight points, 76 PIMs, and 80 hits. Not too shabby for the fourth line winger. Mar 31 - 7:31 PM

Corey Tropp provoked Derek Dorsett into a fight after the Canucks had gone up 2-0 early on in the second period. The Blue Jackets would go on to win 6-2 on Thursday night.

Why Dorsett agreed to the fight just minutes after his team had gone up by a pair, we may never know. But credit Tropp for helping to spark his mates into scoring six unanswered goals, and helping to spoil the Canucks' delicate playoff bid. Through 54 games this season, Tropp has 71 PIMs and eight points.
Mar 20 - 1:53 AM

Corey Tropp scored his first goal in 65 games on Friday.

Tropp did not find the back of the net once in 2014 as his last goal was on December 29, 2013. Just an FYI in case you had him in your lineup for some penalty minutes.
Feb 7 - 7:29 AM

Corey Tropp will draw back into the lineup Saturday night against the New York Islanders with Jack Skille out with a lower body injury.

Tropp has limited fantasy value with just one point, 37 PIMs and 35 hits through 25 games this season.
Jan 10 - 6:50 PM

Corey Tropp, Dalton Prout, and Jordan Leopold will all be healthy scratches against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night.

This is bad news for any owners of these three, as their jobs be taken by some talented kids. Tropp especially is valuable for leagues that reward PIMs (37) and hits (35) through 25 games played.

Corey Tropp will give way to minor league call-ups Saturday night in Nashville.

Tropp has been in and out of the Columbus lineup this season but has failed to produce in his chances, recording just one assist in 14 games. Kevin Connauton and Adam Cracknell will also be in the press box for the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Kerby Rychel and Michael Chaput were recalled from the minors and inserted in the lineup Saturday.

Corey Tropp will line up on the fourth line against the Jets Tuesday night.

Tropp will tag back in after sitting out the past two games as a healthy scratch. Through 11 games, Tropp has an assist and just one shot with 29 PIMs while skating less than eight minutes a night. Obviously making him a fantasy dynamo.

Corey Tropp was back in action against the Hurricanes Friday night.

He is over an illness that sidelined last week. Tropp is strictly 4th-line material (4:46 of ice time Friday against Carolina) and is not worth rostering.

Look for Corey Tropp to be back in the Columbus lineup as early as Tuesday as he recovers from an illness.

Tropp became ill during the Toronto game on Friday and missed Saturday's contest against New Jersey. The feisty winger has 25 penalty minutes in five games including three majors. If you are looking for penalty minutes, Tropp could be your man especially considering the Blue Jackets have a home-and-home series this week against Carolina and tempers could flare.

Corey Tropp won't be disciplined further by the league for his hit from behind on Ottawa's Mark Borowiecki.

The play was reviewed and the league determined that Borowiecki saw Tropp coming and turned his back to the play at the last second. Tropp was given major penalty for hitting from behind and he received a game misconduct.

Corey Tropp was minus-one with a fight on Friday.

Tropp was put into the lineup due to the undisclosed injury to Marko Damo. Tropp had 10 points and 37 penalty minutes in 44 games last season but Friday's contest was his first in 2014-15.

Corey Tropp got better as the year progressed last season and will be looking to catch on in a full-time role with the Blue Jackets this season.

He's plagued with injuries lately and after missing the beginning of last season with a broken jaw and being dealt from Buffalo, finally rounded into form by playing tough, physical hockey. The 25-year-old posted 10 points in 44 games with the Jackets last season and 37 penalty minutes. He had a scoring upside in college but is not fantasy relevant at this point.

Corey Tropp's two-year deal is a one-way contract.

Tropp will only come with a $625,000 annual cap hit, so he can still be buried in the minors, but the Blue Jackets are less likely to do so. This is Tropp's first one-way deal and he earned it after recording two goals and eight assists in 44 games last season.

Corey Tropp has inked a two-year extension with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Tropp was a restricted free agent. He had 10 points and 37 penalty minutes in 44 games in 2013-14.

He has been a healthy scratch for the last three games. R.J. Umberger will take his place in the press box.
