Anton Lander and Luke Gazdic will be scratched fro Tuesday's match with Columbus.

Through 48 games this season Lander has all of but two points, and no goals. Which is just one more point and one fewer goal than what Gazdic has produced through 28 games thus far.

Anton Lander will draw back into the lineup Tuesday at Tampa Bay.

He was a healthy scratch Monday versus Florida. Lander has no goals and two assists in 45 games this season.

Anton Lander picked up his first point of the season Friday.

It has been a horrible fantasy season for Lander who had six goals and 20 points in 38 NHL games last season. This year has been a far different story as he has now played in 22 games. He is also a minus-six. If he has been in your fantasy lineup all season, our condolences to your team.

Anton Lander has yet to garner a point through 17 games this season.

Well that sure isn't going to help your fantasy squad. Lander had six goals and 20 points in 38 games last season and it was thought he could improve on that this season but that is not the case. "Definitely, it’s a really frustrating time right now," Lander said Friday. "I’m trying to work extra every day, trying to do those little extra things in practice every day, work on those shots, work on those tips, work in those tight places, and hopefully, it’ll come soon." If he is still on your active roster, you are not paying attention.

Anton Lander played 14:26 on Saturday after coach Todd McLellan sat him for most of the final two periods Thursday.

Lander has yet to pick up a point this season so if his defensive play is lackluster, then he'll sit. "The message has been sent to Anton ...this is a poke in the ribs for him," said McLellan. "I’ve told him how much I appreciate his game and the details he brings to the table (defensively) but it’s only effective when he’s doing that." He was minus-one Saturday.

Anton Lander is without a point this season but coach Todd McLellan knows he is contributing to the squad.

"You have to watch Anton fairly closely to understand his contributions," McLellan said. "He scored three goals one game in camp, but he’s not that kind of player, consistently. You have to look at his faceoffs, his work on the penalty-kill. You’re not driving home at night, getting all excited about Anton or the smoothness to his game, but you appreciate the details to his game and he’s one of the few guys who is vocal all the time on the ice, and you like that." He is also a minus-two so we will not recommend him.

Anton Lander won 16-of-22 faceoffs on Saturday.

That's amazing news if you play the category and no big deal if you don't. Lander has no points in five games this year.

Anton Lander had a hat trick in Tuesday's preseason contest.

Lander didn't make the Oilers' opening game roster in 2014, but he was eventually summoned by the team and went on to score six goals and 20 points in 38 games. He inked a two-year, $1.97 million extension with Edmonton over the summer.

Anton Lander picked up a goal and two helpers in Sweden's 5-3 loss to Russia in quarterfinal action at the World Hockey Championships on Thursday.

He helped the Swedes dig themselves out of a 3-0 hole, but Russia quickly regained the lead after Sweden tied the game. John Klingberg earned a goal and an assist in the defeat.

Anton Lander has inked a two-year, $1.97 million contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers.

Lander didn't make the Oilers' opening game roster, but he's worked hard to establish himself as a useful center at the NHL level. He has six goals and 17 points in 33 contests in 2014-15. He's been playing with Taylor Hall and Andrew Miller lately, but we don't think that line is likely going to be what the Oilers open the 2015-16 campaign with. It's more likely that Lander will find himself serving primarily in a bottom-six role.

Anton Lander recorded two points for the second time in three games during Monday's 4-1 victory over Colorado.

All four points have come via the assist. For the season, Lander now owns 11 assists and 17 points in 32 games this season.

Anton Lander's performance since his NHL season debut on Dec. 21 might have secured him a spot on Edmonton's 2015-16 roster.

Lander didn't take it well when he failed to make Edmonton's opening game roster out of training camp. "I was pissed off. I wanted to prove I could play in this league and help Edmonton to win hockey games," Lander said. "It's easy to blame it on someone else. To try to find the wrong in everyone except yourself, but I wasn't good enough at camp." He made up for it though by excelling in the AHL, where he has nine goals and 31 points in 29 games this season. He's added another six goals and 13 points in 29 contests with Edmonton. Depending on what moves the Oilers make over the summer, Lander will probably start the 2015-16 campaign on the third line. He's got some offensive upside, but it will be hard for him to break the top-six in Edmonton.

Anton Lander (shoulder) will return Monday night against Detroit.

"We're excited to have him back." Oilers interim bench boss Todd Nelson said. "I think it will give us more options up the middle, obviously." Lander hasn't played since Feb. 18 because of a shoulder injury. He has four goals and 11 points in 22 games this year.
