Montreal forward Brendan Gallagher scored the team's lone goal in a 7-1 road loss at Tampa Bay.

He replaced P.A. Parenteau, who skated with Tomas Plekanec, on a line with David Desharnais and Max Pacioretty. Gallagher spent most of the 2014-15 campaign with Desharnais and Pacioretty. The reunited trio didn't score in the match, but Gallagher did provide the Canadiens with the win by scoring in the shootout.

Brendan Gallagher and some of his teammates wouldn’t be surprised to see Derek Stepan (broken jaw) play in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final on Sunday night.

The Rangers forward took a high hit from Brandon Prust in the first period of Game 3, left for concussion testing and ended up playing the rest of the tilt with the injury that required surgery. Stepan was still in the hospital recovering Saturday, so he didn’t practice. Even though Rangers coach Alain Vigneault called it "unlikely" that Stepan plays, some of the Habs aren't believing it. "We’re 100% expecting him to play," said Gallagher. "He got up yapping and yelling. I'm sure the jaw doesn't hurt too much."
