With his tip-in goal against the Red Wings Saturday night, Brendan Gallagher broke his 15-game goalless game streak.

Nov 27 - 9:15 AM

Brendan Gallagher hasn't scored a goal for 11 straight games.

He managed to register an assist and five shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Florida. Gallagher didn't have a point in his previous six outings and the 11-game drought without a goal is the longest of his career.

He has collected five assists and nine points in 10 games this season. Gallagher has averaged just over 14 minutes of ice time in his last four appearances.

Oct 24 - 11:31 PM

Brendan Gallagher scored a pair of goals in Montreal's 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Gallagher opened the scoring with an innocent looking shot that Sabres goalie Robin Lehner will want back. The Habs forward also tipped home a Shea Weber shot to give the Canadiens a 3-1 lead in the third period. Gallagher isn't a natural goal scorer, but he's fully capable of scoring 25 goals this season. Torrey Mitchell and Andrew Shaw also found the back of the net for Montreal.

Brendan Gallagher is excited about Montreal's off-season moves.

The Canadiens got off to a great start last year, but crumbled after Carey Price went down. The team made plenty of changes in the off-season and hopes to be back in the playoffs in 2017. "As players, now it’s definitely on us. I think management has done everything they can to put us in a situation to win. Bringing in a guy like Shea Weber who has won gold medals, Andrew Shaw who has two Stanley Cups, and [Alexander] Radulov whose had a lot of success no matter where he played, getting to play with those guys is something I’m excited about," said Gallagher. "All of them are going to be relied upon in the locker room to be leaders. They’ll all bring a very positive dynamic to our group."
Aug 18 - 2:37 PM

Brendan Gallagher doesn't feel like the Canadiens came up short in the P.K. Subban for Shea Weber trade.

"You get two different perspectives," he said. "You get the perspective of people who don't have to play against Shea Weber and what they understand, and you get the perspective of players from the Western Conference who tell you how happy they are to see Shea Weber leave the conference." Gallagher likes to make his presence felt in front of opposing goalies, so he admitted that he'll probably have to wear additional protection to guard himself from Weber's booming shot.

May 7 - 9:12 AM

Brendan Gallagher ended his season on a four game point streak, thanks to his pair of assists during Saturday's 5-2 win over Tampa Bay.

Gallagher picked up a goal and five points over that span. He finishes with his third straight season with at least 40 points as well. That's worth noting because he scored 19 goals and 40 points in just 53 games.
Apr 9 - 11:27 PM

Brendan Gallagher brought a lot of energy in his return to the Canadiens' lineup on Saturday.

Gallagher opened the scoring against the Panthers and played relatively well for a guy who missed 12 games with a groin injury. "He had a lot of energy and there’s no question he’s a top-two line player," head coach Michel Therrien said. Gallagher's one goal away from hitting the 20-goal mark even though he's played just 50 games in 2015-16.
