The goal gave Montreal a three-goal advantage in the final seconds of the game. Gallagher has been one of the few bright spots on the Canadiens roster this season. He has 27 goals and 46 points in 75 games in 2017-18. Gallagher will use the last seven games of the season to try to hit the 30-goal mark for the first time in his career. Mar 24 - 10:02 AM

Brendan Gallagher scored a goal in a 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

It took only 34 seconds for Gallagher to tip home Jeff Petry's shot for his 25th goal of the year. It's Gallagher's 10th opening goal of the season, putting him at the top of the NHL in that category. The Canadiens have been terrible this year, but that hasn't stopped the diminutive forward in setting a career high in goals. He's currently sitting at 42 points in 69 games.
Mar 12 - 9:37 PM

Brendan Gallagher potted his 24th goal of the season Tuesday in a 6-4 loss to New Jersey.

That ties the career-high Gallagher set in 2014-15. He needs six more points in the last 16 games to match the personal best he established that year. Gallagher has three goals and two assists during a four-game point streak. If he keeps producing like this then he could hit the 50-point plateau for the first time at the NHL level.
Mar 7 - 10:24 AM

Brendan Gallagher scored a goal in Montreal's 2-1 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

Gallagher has now scored in back-to-back games for the fifth time this season, giving him 23 total markers on the season. He's one away from matching his career high of 24 goals set during the 2014-15 season. Gallagher has 40 points in 65 games this season.
Mar 3 - 8:41 PM

Brendan Gallagher scored his 21st of the season in a 5-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night.

Despite his team's poor play, Gallagher now has goals in three of his last four games for the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge. The only other goal scorer for Montreal on Thursday was Daniel Carr. Gallagher now has 21 goals and 33 points in 57 games played this year.
Feb 15 - 11:55 PM

Brendan Gallagher scored his 20th of the season in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

For the first time in three years, Brendan Gallagher has himself a 20-goal season. His goal on Saturday also extends his points streak to four games (2g, 3a). Jonathan Drouin was the other goal scorer for the Canadiens against Nashville. Gallagher has 20 goals and 32 points in 55 games this season.
Feb 10 - 10:12 PM

Brendan Gallagher potted a power-play goal in a 5-3 loss to Philadelphia on Thursday night.

Gallagher finished with five shots in the match and he continues to lead the Canadiens in goals with 19 over 54 appearances. He has accounted for three markers and five assists in the past nine games. That includes a three-game point streak over which he has one goal and three helpers.
Feb 9 - 10:11 AM

Brendan Gallagher potted his team-leading 18th goal of the season on Thursday in a 6-5 loss to Carolina.

Gallagher has scored in two straight games, but he may not have the team lead much longer. Max Pacioretty has been red hot with eight goals in his last nine outings.
Jan 26 - 9:37 AM

Brendan Gallagher probably should have been Montreal's representative at the All-Star Game.

Gallagher has been the team's most consistent player and he leads the Canadiens with 16 goals and 23 points in 42 games. Montreal's lone player at the All-Star Game later this month will be goaltender Carey Price, who has been hot and ice cold this year.
Jan 12 - 9:22 AM

Brendan Gallagher led the Habs to a 5-2 win over the Canucks on Sunday with a goal and an assist.

Gallagher now has 16 goals and 23 points in 42 games this season. Gallagher snapped a three game pointless slump and turned in his fifth multi-point effort of the season.
Jan 7 - 9:54 PM

Brendan Gallagher has developed into one of the Canadiens' key leaders.

Gallagher has earned a reputation for being a hard worker and a gutsy player. That was on display during Thursday's game when he was forced to briefly leave the contest after being crushed into the boards and then crashed into the Lightning's net in his first shift back. "That’s the way he plays," Canadiens coach Claude Julien said. "We’ve said that about Gally all year. He’s the heart and soul when it comes to the efforts and the second efforts." Gallagher has also bounced back offensively after a tough 2016-17 campaign as he's gone from recording 29 points last season to having 21 points in 41 contests in 2017-18. He's been a silver lining in what has been a rough campaign for Montreal overall.
Jan 7 - 10:25 AM

Brendan Gallagher scored a goal in a 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Habs looked like they were going to take a 1-0 lead into the final period but inexplicably gave up a second period goal to Steven Stamkos at the 19:48 mark. The Habs then again allowed a goal just 30 seconds into the third period and Stamkos sealed the win with a goal four minutes later. Gallagher's 15th goal of the season leads all Canadiens. He is up to 21 points in 38 games this season.

Brendan Gallagher scored a goal in a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames.

Gallagher now has a team leading 14 goals, with the next closest Hab being Paul Byron at 10. After a hot start to the season, Gallagher recorded just his first point in his last seven games. With several Habs struggling, they've become a team to avoid in fantasy circles. Byron Froese and Nicolas Deslauriers also scored for the Canadiens.

Brendan Gallagher found the back of the net in Montreal's 10-1 win over Detroit on Saturday.

Gallagher might not have had the biggest offensive contest in the blowout, but his goal was of particular note given that it was the 100th of his career. Gallagher was able to reach that milestone in 352 career games and at the age of 25. He has 13 goals and 19 points in 28 games this season.
Sun, Dec 3, 2017 10:04:00 AM

Brendan Gallagher leads the Canadiens in both goals and points.

That's a pretty significant surprise considering he had 10 goals and 29 points in 64 games last season. This year, he's already up to 12 goals and six assists in 27 contests. He's on pace to score 36 goals, but don't be surprised if that number comes down at a certain point. Still, he's been a pleasant surprise.
