Arizona Coyotes RFA defenseman Philip Samuelsson filed for salary arbitration on Friday.

Samuelsson had a whirlwind season in 2014-15, the 23-year-old began the season with Pittsburgh before being traded to Arizona in December for Rob Klinkhammer. While he only saw nine NHL games between the two franchises, he played in 77 games in the AHL for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Portland. It was in Portland where his season caught track, scoring five goals and 20 points in 51 games. He made the NHL league minimum last season, so a modest raise can be expected.
