Radko Gudas will be a healthy scratch Thursday night against the Devils.

The hulking defender Gudas is having a decent start if you're in a league that rewards tough guys. He's accumulated eight PIMS, 11 blocks, and an impressive 34 hits thus far while playing nearly 19 minutes per. Stay patient if you can. Tempers will flair.

Oct 12 - 11:41 AM

It looks like Radko Gudas will have to wait a little longer to make his Philadelphia debut.

He is slated to be a healthy scratch Thursday against his former Tampa Bay teammates. Luke Schenn is expected to play instead. Gudas didn't get to play with the Flyers last season after he was traded by the Lightning because of knee surgery.
Oct 7 - 11:57 AM

Radko Gudas (knee) isn't expected to return before the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Gudas was acquired by the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday as part of the Braydon Coburn trade. He's a physical, defensive defenseman that's also capable of chipping in offensively and should be a significant part of Philadelphia's blueline next season.
Mar 3 - 11:42 AM

When Radko Gudas is ready to return from a knee injury, he'll be in the lineup for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gudas has been traded to the Flyers, along with 2015 first round and third round picks for Braydon Coburn. Gudas has five points, 115 hits, 63 blocks and 34 penalty minutes in 31 contests this season. He hasn't played since Dec. 29 after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
Mar 2 - 7:28 AM

More information on the status of Radko Gudas (knee) is expected to be known in about a month.

Tampa Bay GM Steve Yzerman isn't exactly sure when Gudas will be ready to return yet, but the team is hoping to have the physical blueliner back for the playoffs. Gudas had arthroscopic knee surgery in early January.
Feb 23 - 10:17 AM

Radko Gudas (knee) hopes to return for the playoffs.

He is feeling better following arthroscopic knee surgery and he doesn't need the assistance of crutches anymore. There isn't an exact timetable in place for his return, but he was originally slated to be out of action for four months so that would place his return in May.
Feb 18 - 3:41 PM

Radko Gudas (knee) is expected to miss the next four months.

Gudas underwent arthroscopic knee surgery as scheduled on Tuesday. "It's a little tough to digest right now, just because clearly it's more serious than we thought," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "It's hard for me to comment, because I've had him for a long time, so I know what he means to us." Nikita Nesterov was brought up from the minors when Gudas' injury wasn't thought to be this severe and it looks like the 21-year-old might get a rather lengthy trial.
Jan 6 - 1:19 PM

Radko Gudas is scheduled to have arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday.

The Lightning won't know how long Gudas he'll be sidelined for until after the operation. He has two goals and five points in 34 contests in 2014-15. Nikita Nesterov, 21, was summoned when Gudas was initially sidelined and it now looks like Nesterov's NHL stint could be a sizable one.
Jan 5 - 4:25 PM

Radko Gudas (lower body) won't play Tuesday at Montreal.

He has returned to Tampa Bay for further evaluation after not showing signs of improvement from a lower-body ailment. "We don't know what is happening ... Gudas could be back for the Buffalo game (at home on Friday) or, who knows, he may not be back until after the All-Star Game (Jan. 25)," coach Jon Cooper said. The Lightning should know more about his status after he undergoes more tests.
Jan 5 - 9:35 AM

Radko Gudas (lower body) will not play in Sunday's game against the Ottawa Senators.

Gudas suffered the injury in last Monday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He did skate earlier this week, but was unable to practice with his teammates on Saturday. There is no timetable for Gudas' return. He's considered day-to-day right now.
Jan 4 - 10:55 AM

Radko Gudas (lower body) is questionable for Friday's game against Pittsburgh.

He took part in Thursday's practice after missing Wednesday's win over Buffalo. Gudas hasn't been ruled out yet for Friday's contest.
