Radko Gudas has been suspended for three games for an illegal check to the head of Ottawa's Mika Zibanejad.

The incident occurred in the third period and it sent Zibanejad out of the game. Gudas didn't get a penalty on the play, but he didn't escape supplemental discipline. He won't be eligible to return until Thursday, Dec. 10 against St. Louis.

Radko Gudas has a hearing scheduled with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday.

The league is looking at an illegal check to the head of Ottawa's Mika Zibanejad during Tuesday's game. Gudas wasn't penalized on the play and Zibanejad was injured.

Radko Gudas will make his Philadelphia debut Monday night.

He will take the place of Luke Schenn in the lineup. Gudas was scratched for the first two games of the season.

It looks like Radko Gudas will have to wait a little longer to make his Philadelphia debut.

He is slated to be a healthy scratch Thursday against his former Tampa Bay teammates. Luke Schenn is expected to play instead. Gudas didn't get to play with the Flyers last season after he was traded by the Lightning because of knee surgery.

Radko Gudas (knee) isn't expected to return before the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Gudas was acquired by the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday as part of the Braydon Coburn trade. He's a physical, defensive defenseman that's also capable of chipping in offensively and should be a significant part of Philadelphia's blueline next season.

When Radko Gudas is ready to return from a knee injury, he'll be in the lineup for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gudas has been traded to the Flyers, along with 2015 first round and third round picks for Braydon Coburn. Gudas has five points, 115 hits, 63 blocks and 34 penalty minutes in 31 contests this season. He hasn't played since Dec. 29 after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

More information on the status of Radko Gudas (knee) is expected to be known in about a month.

Tampa Bay GM Steve Yzerman isn't exactly sure when Gudas will be ready to return yet, but the team is hoping to have the physical blueliner back for the playoffs. Gudas had arthroscopic knee surgery in early January.

Radko Gudas (knee) hopes to return for the playoffs.

He is feeling better following arthroscopic knee surgery and he doesn't need the assistance of crutches anymore. There isn't an exact timetable in place for his return, but he was originally slated to be out of action for four months so that would place his return in May.

Gudas underwent arthroscopic knee surgery as scheduled on Tuesday. "It's a little tough to digest right now, just because clearly it's more serious than we thought," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "It's hard for me to comment, because I've had him for a long time, so I know what he means to us." Nikita Nesterov was brought up from the minors when Gudas' injury wasn't thought to be this severe and it looks like the 21-year-old might get a rather lengthy trial.
