Radko Gudas' upper-body injury is a wrist problem.

Gudas isn't able to shoot due to the pain, but he thinks he'll be fine for the season opener. As previously reported, he did pull out of the World Cup as a result of the injury. "It's a little disappointing because I had been looking forward to that all summer," said Gudas, "but in the end, I have to be 100 percent for the Flyers' season. My main focus is the Flyers' season."
Sep 12 - 11:35 PM

Radko Gudas (upper body) isn't expected to miss any regular season games, according to Flyers GM Ron Hextall.

Gudas pulled out of the World Cup on Saturday, but the injury shouldn't cost him any regular season time. The 26-year-old had five goals, 14 points and 116 penalty minutes in 76 games last season. He signed a four-year, $13.4 million extension with the Flyers this off-season.
Sep 4 - 6:34 PM

Czech defenseman Radko Gudas has pulled himself out of the World Cup.

Gudas sustained an upper-body injury while training and he'll on a week-to-week basis, according to Flyers GM Ron Hextall. The 26-year-old signed a four-year, $13.4 million extension with Philadelphia earlier this summer.
Sep 3 - 5:46 PM

The Philadelphia Flyers have inked Radko Gudas to a four-year, $13.4 million deal.

That works out to an annual cap hit of $3.35 million, which is a big leap to the just under $1 million he was previously earning. Gudas had five goals, 14 points, and 116 penalty minutes in 76 games last season. He would have been a restricted free agent, so it's not surprising that he's sticking with the team, but this deal keeps him with the Flyers through the rest of his 20s as he'll turn 30 on June 5, 2020, which is the same summer this contract will expire.
Jun 24 - 11:10 AM

Philadelphia is interested in re-signing Radko Gudas to a long-term deal.

Gudas has just completed his three-year, $2,975,000 contract. He finished the 2015-16 campaign with five goals, 14 points, and 116 penalty minutes in 76 contests. He was also averaging 19:50 minutes per game. He'll be a restricted free agent, so he'll almost certainly stick with the Flyers for at least the 2016-17 campaign, but he'll still likely get a significant raise.
Apr 27 - 6:15 PM

Radko Gudas landed 10 hits in Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Capitals in Game 6.

Gudas finished the game with a minus-1 rating and three blocked shots in 20:18 of ice time. Unfortunately for the Flyers, the loss means that they're now eliminated from the 2016 postseason. Philadelphia made the series interesting by winning Games 4 and 5, but they only managed to score five goals in six games.
Apr 24 - 3:16 PM

Don't look now, but Radko Gudas now has five goals over his last 10 games.

Gudas kicked off Philadelphia's comeback on Thursday night, popping one in from the point for his fifth goal and ninth assist of the season. The Flyers would go on to win 4-2. With Philadelphia making a mad dash to the playoffs, any hot scoring hand is worth your attention.
Mar 25 - 12:30 AM

Radko Gudas scored a goal in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Gudas opened the scoring early in the second period before the Penguins responded by scoring four unanswered goals. The 25-year-old has found the back of the net in back-to-back games and has six points in his last seven contests (four points were scored in one game).

Mar 5 - 9:55 PM

Less than half way through the first period of Monday's match with New Jersey, Radko Gudas was ejected after a blind-side hit to Bobby Farnham.

As Farnham tried to skate around Nick Schultz in an effort to rejoin play, Gudas casually skated by and picked his head with either a shoulder or an elbow. Sending Farnham sprawling to the ice. Gudas was given a match penalty for the hit just 8:10 into the match. Supplementary discipline is likely in his near future. The play brings his totals up to 86 PIMs and 219 hits in 50 games. Feb 16 - 7:32 PM

Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol said Radko Gudas has to work on his game.

The Flyers coach said "inconsistencies in his game" and that "he'll address and we'll address and clean it up a bit." The 25-year-old has no goals, three assists, a minus-4 rating and 53 penalty minutes this season. He has no fantasy value going forward.

Radko Gudas has completed his three-game suspension.

Gudas was punished for his illegal check to the head of Ottawa's Mika Zibanejad. Look for Gudas to draw back into the lineup on Thursday. Andrew MacDonald will probably be the odd-man out, but that hasn't been confirmed.
