Brandon Pirri has been cleared to return to action.
He may even play Saturday afternoon against Buffalo after missing the last two weeks with an upper-body injury. Pirri was surprisingly effective the month before his injury, but may be looking at third-line minutes with the acquisition of Jaromir Jagr. Feb 28 - 10:28 AM

Feb 12 - 2:34 PM

Brandon Pirri suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

He was hurt just 17 seconds into his first shift and wasn't able to return. Pirri registered six goals and one assist in eight contests going into Tuesday's match. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Feb 11 - 10:22 AM

Brandon Pirri has scored a goal in four consecutive games.

Pirri has just nine goals and 11 points this season, but he has collected a point in six of his last seven games. The 23-year-old doesn't have long-term fantasy value but he could be an intriguing short-term add. The Panthers score goals by committee so chances are Pirri won't be able to produce this type of offense regularly.
Feb 8 - 11:09 AM

If you hadn't noticed, Brandon Pirri is one of the hottest players in the NHL at the moment.

The 23-year-old forward has scored six goals in his last seven games and registered seven points over that time frame. If you need a replacement forward on your fantasy team and Pirri is still on your waiver wire, consider picking him up.
Feb 7 - 10:21 AM

Brandon Pirri's goal with just over three minutes left in the game lifted the Panthers to a huge 3-2 win over the L.A. Kings on Thursday night.

The 23-year-old managed five goals in his first 22 games of the season, but is on a four game goal-scoring tear to raise his total to nine goals and 11 points in 26 games. Florida beat the Kings to come within five points of Boston for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Feb 5 - 11:54 PM

Brandon Pirri sealed Florida's 4-2 win over the Islanders with an empty-net goal Tuesday night.

It was his eighth goal of the season and his fifth in his past six games. Pirri also added an assist in the game to give him 10 points in 25 appearances. If he continues to roll then he could be worthy of a flier.
Feb 4 - 10:31 AM

Brandon Pirri has scored three goals in his last four contests.

"I missed a lot of time, and it took me some time to get back," said Pirri, who missed 10 games with a concussion in November and had trouble getting back on track when he returned. "Right now, the opportunity is there for me, I'm getting a lot more minutes." He has six goals and seven points in 23 games this year.
Feb 2 - 10:53 AM

The Florida Panthers know they need to score more goals if they want to make a run at a playoff spot.

The Panthers have scored more than two goals just twice in their last seven games, including a 3-1 loss to New Jersey on Saturday night. "One goal isn’t enough, and that’s on forwards like me who need to be scoring," said Brandon Pirri. "Things were clogged up, yes, but there were rebounds to be had. We just need to go to the hoop. We’re not going to score the easy ones. That’s not how we’re built. We’re an ugly team and need to score ugly goals."
Feb 1 - 12:08 PM

Brandon Pirri potted the only goal for Florida in its 3-1 loss to the Devils on Saturday night.

Pirri scored with 1:29 remaining, with Brian Campbell getting the assist. There is some talent here, but with six goals and seven points, it hasn’t exactly translated just yet. On the plus side, Pirri has three of his goals over his past four games, and he had five shots on goal in this one.
Jan 31 - 10:10 PM

Brandon Pirri scored his first goal since Oct. 30 on Monday night.

A concussion sidelined him after that, which kept him out of 10 games. Pirri had three goals in four games prior to getting hurt, but he hasn't been the same since. Ice time and sitting on occasion as a healthy scratch could also be contributors to his cold streak. Pirri has registered four goals and one assist in 20 appearances with the Panthers.
Jan 20 - 10:21 AM

Center Brandon Pirri scored the Panthers' only goal in a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks in Florida Monday night.

Pirri broke Ryan Miller's shutout at 17:28 of the third period. It was his fourth goal of the season.
Jan 19 - 11:30 PM

Brandon Pirri will draw back into the Panthers lineup Monday against the Canucks.

Pirri hasn't played in over a week and will look to end a 15-game goal drought when he suits up on the fourth line Monday night. In 19 games this year, he has three goals and an assist while chipping in 10 penalty minutes. Pirri and Vincent Trocheck will dress, while Scottie Upshall and Sean Bergenheim will be moved to the press box.

Brandon Pirri got back into the lineup on Sunday.

He skated on the second line with Brad Boyes and Jonathan Huberdeau against the Edmonton Oilers. Pirri was a healthy scratch for Florida's previous two games. He replaced Vincent Trocheck on Sunday.
Jan 12 - 9:36 AM

Brandon Pirri doesn't mind battling for his spot in the lineup.

He was scratched last Saturday against Pittsburgh, along with Jimmy Hayes, but both of them were back in the fold for Monday's rematch with the Penguins. Brad Boyes and Tomas Fleischmann were scratched on that night. "There is definite in-house competition, which makes everyone better," Pirri said. "For me, I have to produce when I have the opportunity to be in the lineup. I haven't cashed in recently. I just have to do it." He doesn't have a point in his past 10 appearances.
