The Toronto Maple Leafs have dealt Taylor Beck, Matt Finn, Christopher Gibson, Tom Nilsson and Carter Verhaeghe to the New York Islanders in exchange for Michael Grabner.

Toronto's goal was to clear up some breathing room under the 50 contract limit while the Islanders are gaining cap space and reducing their salary burden. In the process, Beck has been moved yet again after the Maple Leafs acquired him from Nashville in July. He had eight goals and 16 points in 62 contests last season and will earn $875,000 in 2015-16.
Sep 17 - 12:47 PM

Taylor Beck has agreed to a one-year, $875,000 contract with the Maple Leafs.

Beck was a restricted free agent and had filed for arbitration, but he won't need a hearing anymore. Nashville dealt him to Toronto on Sunday in exchange for Jamie Devane. Beck had eight goals and 16 points in 62 contests with the Predators in 2014-15, but he has significantly more offensive upside than those numbers imply.

The Predators dealt Taylor Beck to the Maple Leafs for AHL forward Jamie Devane on Sunday evening.

Beck, a restricted free agent, tallied 16 points as a fourth-line forward in Nashville. Beck made $550,000 last season and he recently filed for salary arbitration, so this may have been a case of the Predators not feeling comfortable paying him and wanting to give a look to other players in the bottom-six. Devane had two assists in 39 AHL games last season.
Jul 12 - 8:31 PM

Taylor Beck has decided to file for salary arbitration ahead of Sunday's 5:00 PM EST deadline.

The 24-year-old was Nashville's third round pick in 2009 and he has come up through their system. Beck had eight goals and 16 points in 62 games last season. Arbitration hearings will be held in Toronto between July 20th and August 4th, 2015. The two sides can still agree to a deal any time before the hearing takes place.
Jul 5 - 6:55 PM

It appears that young Nashville Predators RFA forwards Taylor Beck and Gabriel Bourque may not be given qualifying offers.

Beck is coming off his rookie campaign in which he scored just 16 points over 62 games, which was nowhere close to his 17 goal and 49 point in 65 games for AHL Milwaukee just the season prior. Bourque meanwhile has registered just 74 points over his 220 NHL games across the last four seasons for Nashville. Both players are in their mid-20's, and neither player have crossed the $900K salary threshold. Considering the Predators are nearly $11M under the cap floor with just 14 players signed, it's easy to see why neither player would be of high priority.

Taylor Beck opened Sunday night's scoring with his sixth goal of the season early on in the second period. However the Ducks would pull away for a 4-2 victory.

Beck's goal was a thing of beauty. Go find a highlight if you haven't seen it already because you'll witness Beck and Gabriel Bourque playing catch over Simon Despres' stick, and finished with a gorgeous one-timer. The goal gives Beck 13 points through 51 games this season.
Mar 15 - 11:33 PM

Taylor Beck should see plenty of action while Eric Nystrom is out for a month with a lower-body injury.

Beck has played in just three of Nashville's last seven games but he should be a regular now that a spot has opened up in the lineup. "No one likes to see injuries," said Beck. That's for sure, but I definitely have an opportunity, and I want to step in and make the most of it." The 23-year-old has five goals and 11 points in 47 games this season.
Mar 8 - 9:46 AM

Taylor Beck will dress for the Predators Monday night against the Rangers.

Beck hasn’t dressed in game since February 22nd in Buffalo but will get his chance Monday night at Madison Square Garden. He has five goals and 10 points with a minus three rating in 44 games this year and is not relevant fantasy forward. He is just 23-years-old so maybe he can aid a fantasy team in the upcoming years.
Mar 2 - 7:12 PM

Taylor Beck will be scratched against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

The soon-to-be 23 year old Beck has just five goals and 10 points with little else to show for his efforts across 44 games this season.
Feb 26 - 8:04 PM

Taylor Beck and Anthony Bitetto will tag in as Nashville takes on Buffalo on Sunday night.

With Calle Jarnkrok and Victor Bartley being scratched, it's another opportunity for Beck and Bitetto to show they belong. While Bitetto has just six NHL games to his credit, it's Beck who has failed to make an offensive impact. The 23 year old forward has just eight goals and 17 points in 68 career NHL games.
Feb 22 - 5:55 PM

Taylor Beck will be a healthy scratch against the St. Louis Blues.

The 23-year-old is a former third round pick in 2009. Beck has just four goals and eight points in 32 games this season.
Jan 29 - 7:59 PM

Taylor Beck will be scratched against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night.

With just four goals and eight points through 32 games, Beck cannot be recommended for your fantasy squad.
Jan 27 - 7:52 PM

Taylor Beck will be a healthy scratch against Montreal on Tuesday night.

Beck's return to the NHL has not gone well. He has just four goals and eight points in 32 games this season, and after finally playing his first four games of the new year over the last week, he recorded no points with one minor penalty. Until he shows more consistency, it's getting hard to recommend him for your squad.
Jan 20 - 7:13 PM

Taylor Beck will play Saturday afternoon against the Wild.

He is over an illness and will skate on the Predators' second line alongside Mike Fisher and Colin Wilson. Craig Smith will continue to skate on the Preds' top line in place of the injured James Neal.
