That's one way to make your presence felt after being called up. Kearns is a 32-year-old forward that has been great in the AHL, but never established himself in the NHL. We still don't think he'll end up earning a permanent spot with the Sharks despite his recent outburst, although certainly he's been making a strong case for himself.

The San Jose Sharks waived winger Bracken Kearns on Sunday.

He just signed with San Jose in late-July. He's played five games in his NHL career. It doesn't sound like he'll be much more than a spot starter for San Jose in 2013-14, if that.
