Brandon Kozun is expected to get back in the Leafs lineup Monday night when they host the New York Islanders.
Head coach Peter Hoarchek has confirmed Nazem Kadri will be a healthy scratch which means Kozun will most likely join the lineup Monday night. Zach Sill will shift to center to replace Kadri and Kozun will suit up on the wing with Joakim Linsdtrom to form the fourth line. In 11 games this year, Kozun has a goal and an assist. Feb 21 - 12:39 PM

Brandon Kozun was happy after he scored his first NHL goal on Friday.

"It’s something you work for your entire life," said Kozun. "To get a chance to do that was pretty special, but on the other hand it would have been nicer if we won." Unfortunately for the Leafs, not much else has gone right for them. They are free-falling in the standings but that lead them to give their young players like Kozun more ice time down the stretch.
Feb 21 - 10:49 AM

Brandon Kozun scored in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Maple Leafs are a mess and it doesn't look like they will figure things out anytime soon. They have now lost 16 of their last 17 games and they have dropped 14 straight on the road. Kozun's goal was his first in the NHL and it was a big one as he tied the game at one. Unfortunately for Toronto, they weren't able to muster any more goals. The 24-year-old now has two points in eight games this season.

Brandon Kozon will remain a healthy scratch for the Maple Leafs Wednesday versus the Red Wings.

Kozun hasn't played an NHL game since October 17th and will continue to be sidelined as the Leafs are happy with their fourth line production right now. In five games played for Toronto, Kozun has just a lone assist. Newly called-up Stuart Percy will also be a healthy scratch Wednesday.

Brandon Kozun will remain a scratch on Tuesday night against Calgary.

Toronto comes in tied with Boston for the two Wild Card slots at 31 points, and Florida and the Rangers are hot on their trail with 29 and 28 points respectively. This game represents a great opportunity to create some space, so there's no wonder why Coach Carlyle isn't playing Kozun until he's 100% recovered.

Brandon Kozun has been recalled from his conditioning stint with the Marlies of the AHL.

Kozun had been out of action since mid-October with a high ankle sprain but may get into the Toronto lineup as Leo Komarov will miss his third consecutive game as a result of a concussion.

Brandon Kozun will play three games for the Marlies on a conditioning stint before he will even be considered for an active roster spot in Toronto.

Kozun has not played since October 17th due to a high ankle sprain. The rookie has registered an assist in five NHL games this season. There is a very good chance Kozun will stay with the Marlies once his conditioning assignment and as a result he has little to no fantasy value.
