The Boston Bruins have added Rob Flick from the Chicago Blackhawks in a minor-league swap.

Flick has five points and 97 penalty minutes in 51 AHL games this season. He was taken by Chicago in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Rob Flick has inked a three-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Flick, 21, registered seven goals, six assists and 91 penalty minutes in 45 games with the AHLs Rockford IceHogs in 2011-12. He also skated in 17 contests with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye, where he earned 10 points and 43 PIMs. Flick was picked in the fourth round of the 2010 draft by the Blackhawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks Rob Flick and seven other players have been cut from training camp.

Flick, Byron Froese, Mirko Hoefflin and Phillipe Paradis and Kent Simpson were reassigned to their junior teams. Joe Palmer has been sent to the AHL, while Steele Boomer and Dallas Jackson were released. None of those players were expected to make the squad. Chicago now has 48 players on their training camp roster.
