J.P. Anderson has been assigned to AHL Worcester.

Anderson had been playing for the ECHL San Francisco Bulls, but that team folded. The rest of the Bulls players under contract with the Sharks moved to ECHL Ontario, but it looks like Anderson is moving up. He had a 3.48 GAA and .892 save percentage in 14 games with the Bulls.

The San Jose Sharks sent goaltender J.P. Anderson and 11 others to the minors.

Also reporting to Worcester of the AHL will be: Jimmy Bonneau, Riley Brace, Chris Crane, James Livingston, Travis Oleksuk, Sebastian Stalberg, Marek Viedensky, Konrad Abeltshauser, Kyle Bigos and Dylan DeMelo. No one is expected to have fantasy impact in the NHL this season.

J.P. Anderson set an OHL record on Sunday as he recorded his 115th career win.

Anderson was signed as an unrestricted free agent in Sept. 2010 as the Sharks were impressed with his training camp. "We are proud to congratulate J.P. on achieving this milestone," Sharks GM Doug Wilson said. "He has made great progress throughout his OHL career and we look forward to watching him continue to develop with Sarnia Head Coach and General Manager Jacques Beaulieu." The netminder will spend a couple of seasons in the minors following this season and should he progress, we could see him in the NHL after that.

J.P. Anderson turned aside 36 of 38 shots in the Sarnia Sting's 3-2 shootout loss to the Windsor Spitfires.

This loss snapped Anderson's five-game winning streak. He has a 2.98 GAA and .911 save percentage in 26 games this season.

J.P. Anderson stopped all 42 shots he faced on Thursday to post a 3-0 shutout for Sarnia versus Saginaw.

The goose egg was his first of the season and it gave him his 14th win in 25 contests. Montreal first rounder Alex Galchenyuk notched a goal and an assist for the Sting in the contest to give him a share of second place in the OHL scoring race.

J.P. Anderson turned aside 32 of 34 shots in a 3-2 shootout victory for Sarnia over Windsor.

He owns a 2-3-1 record with the Sting this campaign to go with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage in six contests. Anderson was never drafted, but he does have an entry-level deal with the San Jose Sharks.

Anderson was called up on an emergency basis because Antero Niittymaki was on the injury reserve list. Alex Stalock has been called up to replace Anderson as Antti Niemi's understudy.

The San Jose Sharks have recalled J.P. Anderson from the St. Mike's Majors of the OHL.

Usually teams cannot recall someone from junior hockey but it was done on an emergency basis as Antero Niittymaki was placed on injured reserve and normal minor league starter Alex Stalock is injured himself. Anderson is 22-5-1 this season with a 2.29 GAA and a .915 save percentage for the Majors. "I was getting prepared for my game last night, and I got a call from Wayne Thomas telling me," the 18-year-old Anderson said after the morning skate. "I was pretty excited when I found out." Look for Anderson to return to the OHL by the All-Star break.

It is likely that young goalie J.P. Anderson will be called up by the San Jose Sharks.

Anderson would be the backup goalie to Antti Niemi while Antero Niittymaki is on the IL. Anderson is playing for the St. Mike's Majors of the OHL. He is 22-5-1 this season with a 2.29 GAA and .915 save percentage. Expect a move in the near future.

J.P. Anderson has signed an entry-level deal with the San Jose Sharks.

Anderson has also been reassigned to his junior team. He had a 2.60 GAA and .899 save percentage in 36 OHL games last season.
