Coach Doug Weight believes in his goaltending duo of Thomas Greiss and Jean-Francois Berube.
While Greiss has been great, Berube has given up four goals in two of the last three games. "Our goaltenders, we believe in them," Weight said. "We’ve had maybe two practices in the last 12 days, so you’ve got a young guy who’s taking shots from guys like me, not from Johnny T [Tavares]. It’s tough. But we have two good goaltenders and we got a big win from Roubs tonight." The Islanders have Jaroslav Halak in the minors where he won his 12th straight on Sunday and is 13-1-1 thus far. With Jaroslav Halak on waivers, Jean-Francois Berube might start getting more playing time with the Islanders.

Berube has been in the awkward position of being the third goaltender on the Islanders' roster this season, which has led to him making just two starts and appearing in four games. Now it seems like the Islanders plan to move on from Halak and while Thomas Greiss is expected to slide into the starting role, Berube should also start getting more work.
