Matt Taormina has returned to Tampa Bay on a one-year, two-way contract.

The 28-year-old Taormina is a career minor leaguer, and isn't expected to see much time with Tampa. Rather he's expected to help fill out AHL Syracuse's blue line. Taormina had his best season since 2009-10 with AHL Worcester, tallying 11 goals and 38 points over 76 games. He had previously played for Tampa Bay and Syracuse from 2012-14, scoring 42 points in 99 games for the Crunch.
