Brayden McNabb has received medical clearance to return from a broken collarbone.

"I don't think the (Christmas) break was necessarily in his favor," Darryl Sutter said. "He wants some full contact practices, so today would be the only one. He's available." McNabb could be back in the lineup on Wednesday if he feels he is back up to game shape.

Brayden McNabb (collarbone) practiced with the Kings Saturday for the first time since his injury on October 29.

McNabb has been skating on his own so this is a big jump in his status. He had 14 points and 92 penalty minutes last season and was off to a nice start with two goals and 11 penalty minutes in eight games. He should return in a week or two.

Brayden McNabb (collarbone) skated for the first time on Tuesday.

Coach Darryl Sutter doesn't expect McNabb to skate for at least another week and his timetable hasn't changed. "He's at least a month away," Sutter said. "He's still in the healing part of it."

Brayden McNabb (arm) will miss the rest of November.

McNabb might return in December, but it's not clear when in that month he might be available. He has two goals in eight games this season.

The LA Kings have placed Brayden McNabb (arm) on I/R on Sunday.

Coach Darryl Sutter noted that McNabb had his arm in a sling and was awaiting more tests (x-rays) to find out just what's going on. Until then, consider McNabb week-to-week.

Coach Darryl Sutter gave a bit of detail on what's going on with Brayden McNabb.

McNabb has an arm in a sling, but still listed with an upper body injury and is considered day-to-day. Slings of course do not necessarily mean there's a major injury, but they are a bit foreboding. We'll keep you posted as his status progresses.

Brayden McNabb suffered an upper body injury in the third period and did not return.

McNabb will be re-evaluated on Sunday so consider him day-to-day for now. He fell awkwardly into the boards as the Blues Colton Parayko fell on top of him. "We need him back. Brayden’s a big part of this team," Drew Doughty said to the LA Kings Insider after the game. "He doesn’t get talked about enough. He’s played unbelievable so far this season, and playing with him has made it easy on me, so hopefully he can come back. I didn’t see the play happen, but hopefully he’s OK to comeback because we’re going to need him really bad." Stay tuned.

Brayden McNabb scored his second of the season Saturday.

McNabb has already tied his career high in goals, as he had two last season and in the previous season. McNabb is known for his penchant for getting penalties and this season has been no different as he has 11 over the last two games. Look for 25 points this season with 100 penalty minutes and get him if that will help you.

Brayden McNabb potted his first goal of the 2016-17 season on Friday night in a 4-2 loss to Philadelphia.

He scored the team's second goal of the match early in the third period to make it 4-2, but that was as close as the Kings would come to cutting into the Flyers' lead. It was the sixth goal of McNabb's NHL career. He had 14 points in 81 matches last year.

Brayden McNabb improved his skating speed in the off-season by taking power skating lessons.

McNabb wanted to get faster and the defenseman took lessons from three-time Olympian Dave Cruikshank in the summer. He had two goals and 14 points last season in 81 games and the Kings want him to be a top-four defenseman. "We’re counting on Brady to really step his game up," coach Darryl Sutter said. "It’s no different than when we talk about guys who’ve got to produce more offensively. We’re counting on Brayden to be a much better defender and a much better puck mover this year, and because we think he’s capable of doing that, and he wants to do it, and he’s a good competitor – all of those things. So it’s the time in this stage of his career to take that next step." Look for McNabb to improve to 25 points and draft him accordingly in deep, deep pools.

Brayden McNabb's two-year contract is worth $3.4 million in total.

A previous report put McNabb's cap hit in the $1.7 million to $1.75 million range, so as it turns out it's at the low-end of that projection. The blueliner will earn $1.6 million next season and $1.8 million in 2017-18. He can become an unrestricted free agent after that.

Brayden McNabb will reportedly come with an annual cap hit in the ballpark of $1.7 million to $1.75 million.

McNabb inked a two-year contract extension with the Kings to avoid becoming a restricted free agent. Assuming that cap hit is accurate, it seems reasonable for McNabb. He's talented enough for that salary to actually look very cheap over the course of this deal, but at the age of 25, he's coming off of an inconsistent season. By the end of this bridge contract the Kings should have a very good idea of the type of defenseman McNabb is.

Brayden McNabb has inked a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings.

McNabb would have become a restricted free agent this summer. The financial terms of the contract aren't available yet, but his previous deal was a two-year, $1.3 million agreement. He had two goals and 14 points in 81 contests in 2015-16.

Brayden McNabb is playing important minutes for the Los Angeles Kings this season.

McNabb was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres in 2014, and he's been a pleasant surprise for his new team. He's been a steady defense partner for superstar Drew Doughty. "It’s a challenge at times because you know you’re out there against the top players all the time," McNabb said. "You can’t take a shift off. You have to try to raise your game to his level. [Doughty] doesn’t take that many chances that leave us stranded. Everyone thinks he’s an offensive player but he’s defensive-minded, too." McNabb has two goals and seven points while averaging 20:21 of ice time per game.
