Brayden McNabb scored his second of the season Saturday.
McNabb has already tied his career high in goals, as he had two last season and in the previous season. McNabb is known for his penchant for getting penalties and this season has been no different as he has 11 over the last two games. Look for 25 points this season with 100 penalty minutes and get him if that will help you. Oct 23 - 8:02 AM

Brayden McNabb potted his first goal of the 2016-17 season on Friday night in a 4-2 loss to Philadelphia.

He scored the team's second goal of the match early in the third period to make it 4-2, but that was as close as the Kings would come to cutting into the Flyers' lead. It was the sixth goal of McNabb's NHL career. He had 14 points in 81 matches last year.

Brayden McNabb improved his skating speed in the off-season by taking power skating lessons.

McNabb wanted to get faster and the defenseman took lessons from three-time Olympian Dave Cruikshank in the summer. He had two goals and 14 points last season in 81 games and the Kings want him to be a top-four defenseman. "We’re counting on Brady to really step his game up," coach Darryl Sutter said. "It’s no different than when we talk about guys who’ve got to produce more offensively. We’re counting on Brayden to be a much better defender and a much better puck mover this year, and because we think he’s capable of doing that, and he wants to do it, and he’s a good competitor – all of those things. So it’s the time in this stage of his career to take that next step." Look for McNabb to improve to 25 points and draft him accordingly in deep, deep pools.

Brayden McNabb's two-year contract is worth $3.4 million in total.

A previous report put McNabb's cap hit in the $1.7 million to $1.75 million range, so as it turns out it's at the low-end of that projection. The blueliner will earn $1.6 million next season and $1.8 million in 2017-18. He can become an unrestricted free agent after that.

Brayden McNabb will reportedly come with an annual cap hit in the ballpark of $1.7 million to $1.75 million.

McNabb inked a two-year contract extension with the Kings to avoid becoming a restricted free agent. Assuming that cap hit is accurate, it seems reasonable for McNabb. He's talented enough for that salary to actually look very cheap over the course of this deal, but at the age of 25, he's coming off of an inconsistent season. By the end of this bridge contract the Kings should have a very good idea of the type of defenseman McNabb is.

Brayden McNabb has inked a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings.

McNabb would have become a restricted free agent this summer. The financial terms of the contract aren't available yet, but his previous deal was a two-year, $1.3 million agreement. He had two goals and 14 points in 81 contests in 2015-16.

Brayden McNabb is playing important minutes for the Los Angeles Kings this season.

McNabb was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres in 2014, and he's been a pleasant surprise for his new team. He's been a steady defense partner for superstar Drew Doughty. "It’s a challenge at times because you know you’re out there against the top players all the time," McNabb said. "You can’t take a shift off. You have to try to raise your game to his level. [Doughty] doesn’t take that many chances that leave us stranded. Everyone thinks he’s an offensive player but he’s defensive-minded, too." McNabb has two goals and seven points while averaging 20:21 of ice time per game.
Feb 8 - 10:24 AM

Brayden McNabb scored a goal in a 5-0 victory over Vancouver Monday night.

McNabb also accumulated seven penalty minutes on Monday. He now has six points and 29 PIM in 34 contests this season.

Brayden McNabb was great in a 3-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.

McNabb finished the contest with one goal, one assist, and a plus-3 rating in 22:56 of action. He was named the first star of the game. The 24 year-old defensemen has really put his game together this season, averaging almost six more minutes a game compared to last season. However, with only five points in 25 games, he doesn't possess much fantasy upside.

Brayden McNabb has three points in 13 games this season.

McNabb is giving the Kings an average of 21:41 minutes of ice time per game. He's not one of the league's top offensive defensemen by any stretch of the imagination, but he should pick up the pace as the season goes on and finish in the 20-30 point range.

Brayden McNabb was not at practice on Saturday.

McNabb got in the way of a Zach Parise shot Friday and although coach Darryl Sutter said he was okay, he still sat out practice. The Kings are home to Colorado on Sunday and we shall see if McNabb is able to go. McNabb had 24 points in 71 games last season and is pointless in three matches thus far.

After being a healthy scratch in the Kings' opener, Brayden McNabb has logged almost all of his five-on-five minutes with Drew Doughty.

McNabb has been a bright spot through Los Angeles' 0-3-0 start. "I absolutely love playing with Nabber right now," Doughty said. "I think he's a hell of a player, and he's just getting better and better every game, and I also think I can help him a lot." McNabb had 24 points in 71 games last season, but he has some untapped offensive upside. We wouldn't recommend grabbing him right away in standard leagues, but he's worth keeping an eye on.

Brayden McNabb, Andy Andreoff and Jamie McBain will all be healthy scratches in Thursday's game against the New York Islanders.

McNabb is having a decent season offensively. The 24-year-old has one goal and 23 points in 65 games this season. Andreoff, 23, has just one goal in 17 games while McBain has nine points in 26 games. Jarret Stoll will miss the game due to injury.

Brayden McNabb, Jamie McBain, and Andy Andreoff will each be scratched against the NY Rangers on Tuesday night.

Of the three, only McNabb offers a modicum of fantasy value. He's posted 23 points, 45 PIMs, and 165 hits over 65 games this season.
