Cam Atkinson snapped his five-game goal drought with a pair of tallies in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Mark it now 29 goals and a new career high in markers for Atkinson, who, if you can believe it, nearly didn't go to the All-Star game. He also matched his career high of 53 points in 60 games thus far. Feb 26 - 9:03 PM

Cam Atkinson's line, with Brandon Dubinsky and Boone Jenner, has amassed six goals and 14 points in the last five games.

Atkinson has scored three times over that span to hit 27 goals for the second straight season. The rest of the team has three goals during that five-game stretch. "Our line has taken over a little bit as far as working hard and trying to gain momentum and scoring goals and having success," Atkinson said. "It's great right now but all of us are going to have to contribute. When we do, it's going to be crazy."
Feb 13 - 5:58 PM

Cam Atkinson matched his career high of 27 goals with a tally in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Red Wings.

He also has 49 points this season, and needs five more to set a new career high in that category as well. Suffice it to say, this is Atkinson's best campaign yet.
Feb 11 - 8:08 PM

Cam Atkinson buried his 25th goal of 2016-17 in a 4-3 OT loss to Pittsburgh on Friday night.

The 27-year-old winger has found another level this season, with 47 points in 50 contests. He had 27 goals and 53 points in 81 games last year, which he should easily surpass.
Feb 4 - 11:11 AM

Cam Atkinson's star shined quite brightly during his All-Star debut on Sunday.

He knotted the championship game up at three late in the affair by collecting his own rebound, making him just one of three players for the Metro to score in both games. They'd go on to beat the Pacific, 4-3. Atkinson for his part tallied three goals and five points, matched in points only by John Tavares and Justin Faulk.
Jan 29 - 7:31 PM

John Tavares wasn't the only player to notch two goals and four points during Sunday's 10-6 All-Star game victory over the Atlantic.

Cam Atkinson accomplished the feat, and nearly put home the hat trick had he not slid it through the crease instead. Talk about a replacement for the injured Evgeni Malkin.
Jan 29 - 6:09 PM

Cam Atkinson is now part of the All-Star Game roster.

Atkinson is taking the spot of Evgeni Malkin, who has a lower-body injury. Atkinson has 24 goals and 46 points in 47 contests in 2016-17.
Jan 26 - 11:27 AM

Cam Atkinson scored his 24th goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders.

Atkinson found the back of the net with just over five minutes remaining in the game. The 27-year-old has three goals in his last two games. He has 46 points in 47 games this season. Nick Foligno also scored for the Blue Jackets in this one.
Jan 24 - 10:17 PM

Cam Atkinson scored Sunday's overtime winner to put the Blue Jackets past the Senators, 7-6.

It was a beauty of a goal too on the breakaway. That was his second goal of the game, which gives him 23 goals and 45 points in 54 games this season.
Jan 22 - 8:36 PM

Cam Atkinson registered two assists in a 4-1 win over Carolina on Tuesday.

Atkinson has recorded at least a point in three of his last four games. He has 21 goals and 43 points in 43 contests in 2016-17.
Jan 18 - 4:45 AM

Cam Atkinson scored an unassisted goal at the 18:10 mark of the first, but it was not enough as the Blue Jackets lost 4-3 to the Panthers Saturday night.

Atkinson has scored a goal in every other game in his last six attempts, which has made him a little less than consistent. Still, this was his 21st goal of the season and 41st point so players can be hopeful that he will start stringing points together with greater regularity in the coming games.
Jan 14 - 10:49 PM

Cam Atkinson scored his 20th goal of the season in Tuesday's game against Carolina.

Atkinson scored less than two minutes into the first period to give his team a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately for the Blue Jackets, they ended up losing the game 5-3. Atkinson was one of the biggest snubs from the All-Star Game rosters that were unveiled today. Not many people expected him to produce at this clip, but he's shown that he can be a solid fantasy producer on a regular basis. The 27-year-old has 40 points in 40 games this season.
Jan 10 - 10:27 PM

Cam Atkinson found the back of the net in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Blue Jackets' winning streak has now hit an incredible 16 games. Atkinson opened the scoring at the 12:32 mark of the first period. He's been one of the biggest surprises of the 2016-17 season, as he's accumulated 18 goals and 38 points in 36 games this season. William Karlsson and Nick Foligno also scored for the Blue Jackets.
Jan 3 - 10:22 PM

Cam Atkinson has been on fire with 29 points in his last 23 games.

Atkinson scored twice on Saturday to lead Columbus to a 4-2 win as the Blue Jackets increased their win streak to 15 games. Atkinson has 17 goals and 37 points in 35 games which is hugely impressive but what makes it moreso is that he is coming off back-to-back 40 point seasons. He likely was not drafted in most pools but has been one of the best, if not the best, waiver wire pickups this season.
Jan 1 - 8:37 AM

Cam Atkinson is fine to play Thursday night.

He blocked a shot Tuesday and his status was uncertain Wednesday. Keep the red hot winger in your lineup. Atkinson has a seven-game point streak.
