Paul Thompson will make his NHL debut Friday night against Boston.

The 27-year-old is a career AHL'er and posted 33 goals and 55 poitns in 73 games with Albany last season. This season he hasn't quite replicated his production with seven goals and 16 points in 22 games. He's expected to skate to the left of Stefan Matteau and Jim O'Brien on New Jersey's third line.
