Mark Arcobello has successfully cleared waivers.
That's not too surprising, given Arcobello's $1.1 million cap hit for the 2015-16 campaign. He hasn't recorded a point in seven games this season. Oct 30 - 12:41 PM

Mark Arcobello has been placed on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Arcobello played on four different teams last season, so we'll see if his tour of the NHL continues in 2015-16. We have a feeling he'll clear waivers though given his $1.1 million cap hit this season. He had no points in seven games with the Maple Leafs.

Forward Mark Arcobello along with defenders Martin Marincin and Frank Corrado will be healthy scratches Friday night against Columbus.

While Corrado continues to bide his time before making his Leafs debut, both Marincin and Arcobello haven't been much more effective on the ice. Neither have a point yet, and the most noteworthy tally are Marincin's eight blocks through three games. Yep.

He didn't get a qualifying offer from Arizona. Forwards Tye McGinn, Craig Cunningham, Greg Carey, Darian Dziurzynski and Philip Lane along with defenseman John Moore and goaltenders Mark Visentin and Mike Lee weren't tendered qualifying offers either. Arcobello played for four teams in 2014-15 (Arizona, Edmonton, Nashville and Pittsburgh) and he posted 31 points in 77 games.
Jun 30 - 2:00 PM

Mark Arcobello netted the game-winning goal in Team USA's 4-2 victory over Russia in Group B competition in the 2015 World Championship.

It was a surprising upset as Russia's squad featured many of their best players while Team USA is somewhat short on NHL experience. That being said, it was the NHLers that led the charge for the Americans as Brock Nelson, Torey Krug, and Trevor Lewis accounted for the United States' three other goals. If you haven't been following the tournament, then it's worth emphasizing that this was a round robin game, so Russia still has a chance to bounce back.
May 4 - 12:57 PM

Mark Arcobello will join his fifth team of the 2014-15 hockey season, Team USA for the World Championships tournament being held the first half of May in the Czech Republic. This will be his first international experience.

The 26 year old forward who started his season with Edmonton (36 games) before being traded to Nashville (four games) for Derek Roy. He was claimed by Pittsburgh (10 games) off waivers shortly thereafter, who in turn lost Arcobello to Arizona via waivers for the final 27 games of the season. In all, he scored 17 goals and 31 points over 77 games, including at least one point with each team.

Apr 14 - 7:38 PM

Mark Arcobello scored his eighth goal as a Coyote during Friday's 3-1 loss to the Sharks.

Arcobello now has points in four of his past five games, collecting three goals and six points during that span. He now owns 14 points over 23 games since joining the Coyotes.
Apr 4 - 2:09 AM

Mark Arcobello leads the Coyotes with seven goals in 22 games since he joined the squad on Feb. 13.

Arcobello also has six assists over that span. The Coyotes are a pretty anemic team offensively and are likely to see major changes over the summer, but it wouldn't be surprising to see them retain the services of Arcobello. He's set to become a restricted free agent this summer.
Apr 2 - 10:47 AM

Mark Arcobello recorded two goals, including the overtime winner, in Tuesday's 5-4 victory over the Red Wings.

It was a big night for Arcobello in just 13:55 of work, as he also contributed a hit while winning 56% of his faceoffs. Arcobello now has seven goals and 11 points in just 19 games with the Coyotes this season.
Mar 25 - 2:25 AM

Mark Arcobello drew a lot of interest at the trade deadline.

The Coyotes were unable to deal the 'scoring machine' who had five goals in eight games for Arizona when the deadline came and went, as they would have had to offer him back to any team that claimed him at the same time the Coyotes got him from the Penguins. The Coyotes are seeing if he can take over the spot of Antoine Vermette on the power play as the team is lacking in offensive producing players as the 2014-15 season winds down.
Mar 8 - 7:19 AM

Mark Arcobello had an assist in a 4-1 loss on Tuesday.

Arcobello has recorded at least a point in three of his last four games. He has 13 goals and 21 points in 59 contests in 2014-15.
Mar 4 - 4:39 AM

Mark Arcobello has been a scoring machine for the Coyotes since being claimed off waivers on February 11.

Arcobello has five goals in eight games as a member of the Arizona Coyotes. "He's been opportunistic," coach Dave Tippett said. "When he's had a chance to score, he's chipped in. In our situation, our scoring has been down. Obviously, he's been a good player in that respect. He's one of those guys trying to establish himself as a full-time NHLer, and he's come in and played well for us." He may be worth looking at in deep pools at this time.
Mar 1 - 4:18 AM

Mark Arcobello was the lone goal scorer for Arizona in Tuesday's 5-1 defeat at the hands of the New York Islanders.

Arcobello has played for four different teams this season, but has enjoyed the most success in Arizona with four goals in six games. Martin Erat and David Moss picked up assists on the lone Coyotes marker.
Feb 24 - 9:53 PM

Mark Arcobello has been a scoring surprise for the Coyotes as he potted his third goal in four games since being acquired off waivers.

The former Oiler, Predator and Penguin (and that's this season) has been a welcome source of offense for the Coyotes who have struggled to get goals from their forwards. He now has 11 goals and 18 points this season in 53 games.
