Brad Malone, Chris Terry, and Brett Bellemore will all return to the lineup in Ottawa on Saturday night.

Carolina is in the second of a back-to-back so Coach Peters is using it as an opportunity to get the trio he sat on Friday back into the game. Of the group, only Malone has any fantasy value as he's accumulated 47 PIMs and 93 hits through 33 games this season.

Brad Malone, Chris Terry, and Brett Bellemore will all be healthy scratches against Vancouver on Friday night.

Coach Peters said it was a "tough decision" to take Malone out of the lineup, but he wanted to get Andrej Nestrasil back into the lineup. Of the four, only Malone has any fantasy value as he's accumulated 47 PIMs and 93 hits through 33 games this season.

Brad Malone had an assist in Carolina's 2-1 shootout win over Boston on Sunday.

Malone didn't record a single point in his first 27 contests this season, but he has scored a goal and now assist in back-to-back games. His latest mild offensive outburst aside, he has no fantasy value in standard leagues.
Jan 5 - 10:21 AM

Brad Malone scored his first goal of the season in a 2-1 Carolina win Friday.

Kudos if you played him in a daily fantasy pool but he should not have been on your roster in a one-year or keeper pool as it was his first point of the season in 28 games. He does have 40 penalty minutes but that is more than offset by his minus-11 rating.
Jan 3 - 7:19 AM

Brad Malone was the extra forward during Carolina's morning skate on Thursday.

Malone has been a healthy scratch in four consecutive games, and it's highly likely that he will not dress against Washington on Thursday. The 25-year-old has no points and a minus-7 rating in 16 games this season.

Brad Malone and Zach Boychuk will be healthy scratches against Pittsburgh on Friday night.

Coach Peters is planning to go with seven defensemen, but even still, in 34 combined games Malone and Boychuk have combined for just five points. All by Boychuk.

Brad Malone will be a healthy scratch in Dallas on Tuesday night.

No reason has been specified by Coach Peters. Jay Harrison, who's still out with a lower body injury will join him in the seats.

Carolina and Brad Malone have agreed to a two-year, $1.3 million contract.

Malone scored three goals and registered two assists in 32 games in 2013-14. He doesn't have any offensive upside, so we don't think he's worth keeping on your radar if you play in standard leagues.

Brad Malone netted his third goal of the season during the Avalanche's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks in Anaheim Sunday night.

Stefan Elliott also got on the scoresheet for the Avs with his first goal of the season. Both Colorado and Anaheim were already locked into playoff matchups before the puck dropped. Anaheim won its first Western Conference title Saturday and will play the Dallas Stars in the first round. Colorado won the Central Division, its first division crown since 2002-03, when the St. Louis Blues lost to the Detroit Red Wings earlier Sunday, and will play the Minnesota Wild.
