The Colorado Avalanche have recalled center Brad Malone from the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.

Malone is scheduled to make his NHL debut on Friday. The Avs were forced to call up the former University of North Dakota star with the injury to Paul Stastny and the suspension of Kevin Porter. He had four goals and 13 points with 28 penalty minutes in 24 AHL games. He will likely get his feet wet tonight as a bottom six forward so don't expect a big offensive showing.
