Justin Faulk slammed home a pair of power play goals in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Kings.

It was another incredible day for Faulk, who led the team in ice time with 25:22 and shots with six to go along with his two power play blasts. He now has eight goals, all with the man advantage, on the season to go along with 15 points.
Nov 22 - 4:25 PM

Justin Faulk had an assist in Monday's 4-1 loss to Anaheim.

Faulk also finished the game with a minus-four rating though. That's been a theme this season as his 12 points in 18 contests has been balanced against a minus-12 rating.
Nov 17 - 9:03 AM

Justin Faulk scored his sixth goal of the season during the Canes' 3-2 loss to the Wild on Thursday night.

The St. Paul, Minn. native notched his 10th point of the season and his third point in the past three games. Faulk is one of the top power play quarterbacks in the league, as he notched his sixth point with the man advantage on Thursday.
Nov 12 - 10:08 PM

Justin Faulk scored a power play goal on Friday.

The Hurricanes have scored four times on the power play in 41 chances and Faulk has all four goals to tie him for the NHL lead alongside Jamie Benn, Patrice Bergeron and Brendan Gallagher. Faulk has three assists (all at even strength) as well but is a minus-five to take a bit of the shine away from his outstanding start to the NHL season.
Oct 31 - 6:24 AM

Justin Faulk scored in the Hurricanes’ 5-2 loss to the Sharks on Saturday night.

A "Justin Faulk" game, if you will. The young defenseman is supremely gifted on offense, but struggles at times in his own zone. In this one, he had five shots on goal, but also was on the ice for four goals against. He has three goals and five points, with a minus-six rating this season. Riley Nash picked up the other goal.
Oct 25 - 1:18 AM

Justin Faulk scored for the Hurricanes in their 4-3 loss to the Red Wings on Saturday night.

Faulk got his power-play goal with three seconds remaining in the game. He also had a whopping seven shots on goal, though he was also a minus-three, too. That pretty much encapsulates him as a player — great offensive ability, but not the best in his own end, so fantasy owners will have to deal with a subpar plus-minus. Nathan Gerbe and Victor Rask each got goals.
Oct 10 - 9:48 PM

Justin Faulk had an assist in Carolina's 2-1 loss to Nashville on Thursday.

Faulk also logged an impressive 29:28 minutes of ice time because fellow defenseman James Wisniewski suffered a leg injury early in the contest. Faulk had 15 goals and 49 points in 82 games last season.
Oct 9 - 6:23 AM

Justin Faulk believes he can produce more than the 49 points he had a season ago.

"There's a lot of factors," Faulk said. "I don't know. I think if I continue to play my game every night and bring my A game, if I do that, I'd like to think I haven't reached my ceiling at 23 years old. Hopefully it will keep going up." He posted personal bests last year with 15 goals and 34 assists. Faulk also collected a team-high 20 power-play points and he racked up 238 shots on goal.
Sep 9 - 2:07 PM

Justin Faulk will be headed to the World Hockey Championships to represent Team USA for the first time as an NHL'er.

I say as an NHL'er because Faulk has 190 career games wearing Team USA's sweater in some capacity as a junior from ages 16-20. Faulk, now 23 years old, is coming off a career season with 15 goals and 49 points while skating an average of 24:36 over all 82 games.

Justin Faulk had a goal on Saturday and is now the Carolina Hurricanes top scoring defenseman in one season.

Faulk has 47 points and passed Joni Pitkanen's record of 46 set in the 2009-10 season. He has 15 goals and is just one behind Anton Babchuk's record set in the 2008-09 season. Congratulations to Faulk on setting the record.
Mar 29 - 7:57 AM

Justin Faulk scored a goal in a 3-2 win over Columbus.

Faulk has taken a big step forward this season with 14 goals and 45 points in 68 games. He's tied for ninth place in the defensemen scoring race.
Mar 16 - 9:18 AM

Justin Faulk scored a goal and added a pair of assists for the Hurricanes in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Columbus.

The offensive blueliner's breakout season continues as his 44 points now place him 8th in league scoring among defensemen. Faulk's big night also included a plus-1 rating, three shots on goals, two penalty minutes, two blocked shots and a hit. Eric Staal and Victor Rask rounded out the scoring for Carolina in the losing effort.
Mar 10 - 10:16 PM

Justin Faulk registered a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Philadelphia.

Faulk is enjoying a excellent breakout season with 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points on the year, although that stat line is accompanied by a minus-16 rating. Jeff Skinner, Jordan Staal and Jay McClement also scored for Carolina in the victory while Alexander Semin handed out two helpers.
Feb 24 - 10:20 PM

Justin Faulk had two assists Saturday in a 6-3 loss to Minnesota.

Faulk sure likes to play on Saturday as he had three assists last week. The all-star defenseman has 10 goals and 34 points this season. His minus-16 rating hurts you in fantasy hockey but he is playing for a poor Carolina squad.
