Patrik Nemeth will miss the rest of Saturday night’s game against the Flyers after suffering an arm laceration.

The injury occurred in the first period as Philadelphia forward R.J. Umberger lost his balance when the two players came together and his skate came up and cut Nemeth’s arm. It's unclear how serious this injury is, but the fact the Stars announced he'd miss the rest of the game so quickly, could be telling. Nemeth, who had seen 23 seconds of ice time, was playing in his 13th career NHL game.

It's been great for his development — and a lot of others." Nemeth helped the Texas Stars win the Calder Cup in the AHL postseason and he'll compete for an NHL roster spot in the fall. He skated in eight games with Dallas during the regular season and another five in the playoffs last year.
