The Nashville Predators have won back-to-back games for the first time since Dec. 19 and 21.
Despite their recent struggles, the Predators are just two points behind Minnesota for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. "We all know what kind of position we're in," said Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm. "That's what's got to get better — our battle level, our urgency and our attitude to win games. That's the position we're in right now. We need the points. It doesn't have to be pretty all the time. This was a greasy win for us." Jan 24 - 12:01 PM

Mattias Ekholm hopes to contribute more offensively this season in coach Peter Laviolette's new system.
