Johan Larsson has agreed to a one-year, $950,000 contract with the Buffalo Sabres.

Johan Larsson will be scratched from Saturday's match with the Islanders due to an undisclosed injury.

Through the first full season of his career in the NHL, Larsson performed nicely all things considered. He posted 10 goals and 17 points with 113 hits. Now if only the 23-year-old can start to put it all together.

Johan Larsson extended his point streak to four games with his 10th goal of the season during Tuesday's 3-1 win over New Jersey.

Larsson has posted three goals and six points during the streak. However he has just 17 points in 73 games this season, so we'd look elsewhere for support unless your love riding any and all hot hands.

Johan Larsson scored a pair of goals in Thursday's 4-1 win over Toronto.

In his first 54 games of the season he produced just two goals, but he has seven in his last 17. "I feel like I had the chance the whole season, it's just going in for me now," Larsson said. "With that comes the confidence to make a move and try some passes. It's just that. I don’t think anything is different. It's just going in for me and we're playing good as a line." He is playing with Marcus Foligno and Brian Gionta.

Both of his goals have been game winners. "I just tried to drive the net and get my stick on the ice," Larsson said. "It hit my stick and went in. It was good feeling. You always want to score so I try to go the net and get an easy goal." Larsson has posted just six points in 48 games.
