It looks like Linden Vey is sticking with the Canucks even though centers Henrik Sedin and Brandon Sutter are healthy.
Vey even managed to log 16:18 minutes Thursday night, so Vancouver's relative help hasn't forced him into a minimal role. Of course, it helps that Vey has been playing well lately and found the back of the net on Thursday. "I thought that was probably the best game I’ve seen him play in a Canucks uniform (Thursday night)," Canucks coach Willie Desjardins said. "I thought he made lots of good, little plays that didn’t turn into goals, but were good plays." He's worth keeping an eye on, although Vey's fantasy value will likely be limited this season. Linden Vey scored the shootout winner on Friday in a 4-3 win over Detroit.

Vey was recalled earlier in the day from the minors to replace the injured Henrik Sedin. Vey had three goals and 15 points in the AHL in 26 games. He saw a lot of power play time last season at the beginning of the year for the Canucks and they may use him in a similar role this season.

Linden Vey will make his season's debut while centering Vancouver's fourth line in Friday's match with Detroit.

Vey popped in 10 goals and 24 points last season over 74 games for Vancouver, but has spent this season with AHL Utica where he posted three goals and 15 points over 26 games. With Brandon Prust and Derek Dorsett flanking him, Vey could be a nice short term boon for any poolie in a reverse league.

Linden Vey has been called up by the Vancouver Canucks.

The Canucks lost Henrik Sedin to a lower-body injury on Thursday and they were already missing Brandon Sutter, so they naturally needed some help. Vey has three goals and 15 points in 26 AHL contests in 2015-16.

Linden Vey has been put on waivers by Vancouver.

The Canucks hope to assign him to the minors, but there's a chance that Vey could be claimed. He registered 10 goals and 24 points in 75 games last season. Vancouver was impressed by Jared McCann and Jake Virtanen at training camp, which bumped Vey from the starting roster.

Linden Vey, who stands at 6-foot-0, has gone from being 187 pounds to about 200.

Vey wasn't happy with how his 2014-15 campaign went and in particular, he struggled to maintain possession of the puck. "I put on a lot of muscle and I think it has helped me be able to play my game more, where I can hang onto pucks and hold off defenders," Vey said. He had 10 goals and 24 points in 75 contests last season, but he was close to a point-per-game player in the minors in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Linden Vey acknowledged last season was a disappointment.

And it started during the offseason: "My preparation last summer wasn’t what it needed to be. … The season (with the Canucks) didn't go the way I wanted. I came in with big expectations to put up numbers. It was a big learning curve." Vey had 10 goals and 24 points during his first full NHL season. He’s calling this offseason "the biggest summer of his life." Vey will battle for the third-line center job in Vancouver.

Linden Vey will enter training camp vying for the fourth line job at center.

Vey was practically handed a job at center last season but did not have a good year as he eventually moved to the wing and was sometimes a healthy scratch. He ended the season with 10 goals and 24 points in 75 and will have to battle Blair Jones for a spot on the Vancouver roster this season. He saw plenty of time on the power play as he was sixth on the Canucks with 140:11 minutes, picking up four goals and six points.

Linden Vey has received a one-year, $1 million contract from the Vancouver Canucks.

The re-signing was announced by Canucks GM Jim Benning on Monday. Vey tallied 10 goals and 24 points in 75 games during his first season in Vancouver.

There will be no line up changes for Vancouver as they head into Saturday night's Game Six against Calgary, who leads the series 3-2.

Linden Vey will be joined by fellow forward Brandon McMillan and defender Ryan Stanton in the press box. It does not appear that Coach Desjardins has any confidence in these three, unfortunately.

With Alex Burrows reportedly suffering a broken rib in practice this morning, Linden Vey will tag in for Tuesday's Game Four versus Calgary.

This will actually be Vey's first career playoff game, as he was a Black Ace in the LA Kings' Cup win last season. Through 93 career regular season games, Vey has accumulated 10 goals and 29 points.

The Vancouver Canucks are expected to go with the same lineup as they have over the first two games on Sunday night, as they try to take a 2-1 series lead over Calgary.

Forwards Linden Vey, Zack Kassian, and Brandon McMillan will join defender Ryan Stanton in the press box and abide their time to join the pursuit of Lord Stanley's cup. Bear up in mind that should Kassian return from injury, or Stanton be inserted into the lineup that both could be good last-minute fillers.

Linden Vey and Brandon McMillan will be scratched against the Flyers on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately neither have much fantasy value at this point. Vey has produced just 22 points in 62 games this season. While McMillan, who was a good source of hits while with Arizona (81 in 60 games), has hardly made an impact on the score sheet during his six games with the Canucks.

Linden Vey and Brandon McMillan will be scratched against the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

While McMillan managed to put up 80 hits through 50 games with the Coyotes earlier in the season, he's amassed just five hits without any points in five games with the Canucks. Vey has also had a trying season, compiling just nine goals and 22 points through 62 games this season. Including just two goals and five points since the beginning of February, a stretch of 19 games.
