Linden Vey has been put on waivers by Vancouver.
The Canucks hope to assign him to the minors, but there's a chance that Vey could be claimed. He registered 10 goals and 24 points in 75 games last season. Vancouver was impressed by Jared McCann and Jake Virtanen at training camp, which bumped Vey from the starting roster. Oct 5 - 2:04 PM

Linden Vey, who stands at 6-foot-0, has gone from being 187 pounds to about 200.

Vey wasn't happy with how his 2014-15 campaign went and in particular, he struggled to maintain possession of the puck. "I put on a lot of muscle and I think it has helped me be able to play my game more, where I can hang onto pucks and hold off defenders," Vey said. He had 10 goals and 24 points in 75 contests last season, but he was close to a point-per-game player in the minors in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Linden Vey acknowledged last season was a disappointment.

And it started during the offseason: "My preparation last summer wasn’t what it needed to be. … The season (with the Canucks) didn't go the way I wanted. I came in with big expectations to put up numbers. It was a big learning curve." Vey had 10 goals and 24 points during his first full NHL season. He’s calling this offseason "the biggest summer of his life." Vey will battle for the third-line center job in Vancouver.
Jul 25 - 10:56 PM

Linden Vey will enter training camp vying for the fourth line job at center.

Vey was practically handed a job at center last season but did not have a good year as he eventually moved to the wing and was sometimes a healthy scratch. He ended the season with 10 goals and 24 points in 75 and will have to battle Blair Jones for a spot on the Vancouver roster this season. He saw plenty of time on the power play as he was sixth on the Canucks with 140:11 minutes, picking up four goals and six points.
Jul 4 - 7:54 AM

Linden Vey has received a one-year, $1 million contract from the Vancouver Canucks.

The re-signing was announced by Canucks GM Jim Benning on Monday. Vey tallied 10 goals and 24 points in 75 games during his first season in Vancouver.
Jun 29 - 6:06 PM

There will be no line up changes for Vancouver as they head into Saturday night's Game Six against Calgary, who leads the series 3-2.

Linden Vey will be joined by fellow forward Brandon McMillan and defender Ryan Stanton in the press box. It does not appear that Coach Desjardins has any confidence in these three, unfortunately.
Apr 25 - 7:24 PM

With Alex Burrows reportedly suffering a broken rib in practice this morning, Linden Vey will tag in for Tuesday's Game Four versus Calgary.

This will actually be Vey's first career playoff game, as he was a Black Ace in the LA Kings' Cup win last season. Through 93 career regular season games, Vey has accumulated 10 goals and 29 points.
Apr 21 - 6:17 PM

The Vancouver Canucks are expected to go with the same lineup as they have over the first two games on Sunday night, as they try to take a 2-1 series lead over Calgary.

Forwards Linden Vey, Zack Kassian, and Brandon McMillan will join defender Ryan Stanton in the press box and abide their time to join the pursuit of Lord Stanley's cup. Bear up in mind that should Kassian return from injury, or Stanton be inserted into the lineup that both could be good last-minute fillers.

Apr 19 - 7:38 PM

Linden Vey and Brandon McMillan will be scratched against the Flyers on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately neither have much fantasy value at this point. Vey has produced just 22 points in 62 games this season. While McMillan, who was a good source of hits while with Arizona (81 in 60 games), has hardly made an impact on the score sheet during his six games with the Canucks.
Mar 17 - 8:50 PM

Linden Vey and Brandon McMillan will be scratched against the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

While McMillan managed to put up 80 hits through 50 games with the Coyotes earlier in the season, he's amassed just five hits without any points in five games with the Canucks. Vey has also had a trying season, compiling just nine goals and 22 points through 62 games this season. Including just two goals and five points since the beginning of February, a stretch of 19 games.
Mar 14 - 6:56 PM

The Vancouver Canucks switched up their lines at practice Friday and Linden Vey found himself alongside Chris Higgins and Alex Burrows.

Vey was a healthy scratch on Thursday and has only one goal in his last nine games. Other line combinations were Derek Dorsett with Bo Horvat and Jannik Hansen and Radim Vrbata alongside Nick Bonino and Shawn Matthias.
Mar 7 - 10:38 AM

Linden Vey notched a goal, but Vancouver came up short in its 3-2 loss to the Flames on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old has points in four of his past five games, with two goals in that span. However, we would caution at getting too excited: he has just two shots on goal in those games. Altogether, Vey has nine goals and 21 points. Ronalds Kenins also got a goal. Bo Horvat, Chris Higgins and Jannik Hansen chipped in with the assists.
Feb 15 - 1:11 AM

Linden Vey and Frank Corrado are expected to be healthy scratches on Saturday night against the Flames.

Little surprise Vey is being sat as he has just three goals and six points since American Thanksgiving, and seven goals and 15 points on the season. Not exactly the production level Vancouver envisioned when they acquired him for a second round draft pick over the summer. Corrado has yet to appear in an NHL game this season, but has eight points and 17 PIMs from the blue-line for AHL Utica.
Jan 10 - 8:14 PM

Linden Vey scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory on Tuesday.

Vey was playing on Vancouver's second line because Radim Vrbata was absent due to the flu. Vey has seven goals and 15 points in 35 contests in 2014-15.
Jan 7 - 9:27 AM

Linden Vey will get into Vancouver's lineup on Tuesday night versus the Islanders and likely start on the second line.

Vey got in because Radim Vrbata was a late scratch due to sickness. He will get a shot to start on the second line with Nick Bonino and Chris Higgins.
