St. Louis won't use Anders Nilsson in Game 1 Wednesday night.
No real surprise there. Brian Elliott and Jake Allen are both healthy now, so unless that changes Nilsson will remain on the sidelines. Apr 13 - 9:38 PM

Anders Nilsson relieved Brian Elliott for the final frame of Saturday's 5-1 loss to Washington.

Nilsson came in down 4-1 already, so his record wasn't touched. He turned away nine of 10 shots during his one period of play.

Anders Nilsson stopped 19 of 20 shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Avalanche.

Nilsson entered the game at the start of the second period because Jake Allen suffered an injury. Nilsson entered the game with his team leading 3-0 which means he didn't factor into the decision. Brian Elliott will take over starting duties if Allen is out long-term.
Apr 3 - 11:29 PM

Anders Nilsson will serve as the backup in Saturday's game against the Washington Capitals.

The Blues decided to give Brian Elliott some well-deserved rest, so they decided to leave him at home. Jake Allen will get the start against the Caps.
Mar 26 - 4:58 PM

Goaltender Anders Nilsson played his first game as a St. Louis Blue in Monday's 7-4 loss.

Nilsson replaced Blues starting goalie Jake Allen midway through the game, after Allen allowed the fourth goal against. Nilsson allowed two goals on fourteen shots against, good for a .857 save percentage. With the loss, Nilsson's record drops to 10-13-2 with a 3.17 goals against average and a .900 save percentage this season.
Mar 15 - 1:01 AM

Anders Nilsson has been officially summoned to backup Jake Allen.

Nilsson hasn't had a good season, though. He's not won a game since Dec. 11th, a span of 0-5-1. He's 10-12-1 with a .901 save percentage and a 3.14 GAA this season with the Oilers.
Feb 27 - 9:28 PM

The St. Louis Blues have acquired Anders Nilsson from the Edmonton Oilers.

The Blues needed some goaltending depth as Brian Elliott is out of action, and they got it with Nilsson who was sent to the Blues farm club the Chicago Wolves. Nilsson played a lot early on for the Oilers but Cam Talbot supplanted him as the starter so the Oilers sent him to St. Louis. The Blues gave up Niklas Lundstrom and a fifth round pick to the Blues.
Feb 27 - 10:16 AM

Per Bob McKenzie, the St. Louis Blues are about to receive Anders Nilsson from the Edmonton Oilers "for a mid-round pick."

McKenzie notes that it's "a fourth or fifth round pick." Which certainly qualifies as "mid-round" given there's only seven rounds. If and when the Blues, or whomever, acquire Nilsson he'll carry a remaining cap hit of $231,183 if none is retained by the Oilers. The deal is all but official and we'll keep you posted as the final details become available. If and

While nothing is official just yet, David Pagnotta has made it known that Anders Nilsson is (very likely) on his way to St. Louis for a draft pick.

Nilsson was supposed to start in Friday's match with Anaheim, but was held out of action instead. With Brian Elliott expected to miss at least a month with a lower body injury. The 25-year-old Nilsson carries a $1M cap hit and will be an RFA at the end of the season. He has gone 10-12-2 in 24 starts and 26 games with a 3.14 GAA and .901 save percentage while up with Edmonton. Announcement is expected Saturday morning, according to Pagnotta.
Feb 27 - 12:43 AM

The Edmonton Oilers have summoned Anders Nilsson.

The AHL stint gave Nilsson a chance to work on his game in the minors and perhaps rebuild his confidence. He has a 2.01 GAA and .935 save percentage in two AHL games this season. With Edmonton he's posted a 3.14 GAA and .901 save percentage.
Feb 17 - 12:30 PM

Anders Nilsson has been demoted to the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL.

He has had an up and down season with the Oilers, but he hasn't won a game since Dec. 11. Edmonton has brought up Laurent Brossoit to take Nilsson's spot on the roster.
Feb 10 - 2:19 PM

Anders Nilsson couldn't make it out of the first period against his former club on Sunday.

Nilsson surrendered four goals on 16 shots in just 16 minutes of work, a deficit Edmonton would not overcome as they fell 8-1 to the Islanders. He's now 10-12-2 on the season.
Feb 7 - 6:13 PM

Anders Nilsson will face the Islanders on Sunday afternoon.

Nilsson hasn't won a game since Dec. 11th, a span of seven games and five starts where he earned just a single standings point. He's rocking a .903 save percentage and 71 goals against in 25 games and 23 starts this season, which does not inspire much confidence in a start against the team that drafted him 62nd overall in 2009.
Feb 7 - 1:59 PM

Anders Nilsson allowed five goals 30 shots in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Cam Talbot has taken a hold on the starting gig and Nilsson's effort tonight won't help him get between the pipes more often. The 25-year-old has a 10-11-2 record with a 3.04 goals-against-average and a .903 save percentage in '15-16.
Jan 19 - 11:12 PM

Anders Nilsson will face Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.

Nilsson has yet to taste the sweet, sweet sensation of victory since his five game win streak to begin December. That ended on the 11th, so it's been five weeks and a 0-3-1 record since with 16 goals against in that time. So you may wish to find a more favorable matchup.
