Freddie Hamilton is excited to be a part of the Calgary Flames' organization.
Calgary acquired him from Colorado for a conditional seventh round pick. Of course, the fact that they already have his younger brother, Dougie Hamilton, on board likely influenced the Flames' decision. "The fact my brother is there, it makes it just a bigger bonus," Freddie said. "It’s an organization that is trending upward. They had a great year last year. I’ve followed them now a lot since my brother is on the team, and I love the style they play. They’re known as one of the hardest-working organizations in the league, I’d say, and from what my brother told me, they have a lot of good quality guys on the team and a good staff. So it’s definitely a lot of motivation for me to try to get up there sometime." He'll start the season in the minors. Oct 5 - 7:26 AM

Win games for your new team and impress the staff here and your teammates here. I think every game's been big for me so far." He logged just 9:34 of ice time in Colorado's 5-1 loss. Hamilton has one goal and no assists in 12 games with the Avalanche since the move.
