Despite having the worst record in the NHL, newcomer Freddie Hamilton loves the potential of the Arizona Coyotes.

The Coyotes claimed Hamilton off waivers from Calgary on Thursday. "You come in here and see how talented this team is and how good they’re going to be in the future," Hamilton said. "I’ll just do what I can to try and be a part of that. I’ll just try to fit in where I can and try to come in and work hard. I’ll try to make a good first impression and try to do the little things to help the team. Very high-skilled. Really young and tons of potential ... All the teams around the league are saying how good they’re going to be. So it was fun to see it out there (in practice)." Hamilton has yet to get into a game with Arizona but coach Rick Tocchet wants him in there soon as he likes the versatility of the forward who can play wing or center, as well as his play in his own zone. Hamilton has only one assist in eight games this season so we will not recommend him in fantasy leagues.
