Nicolas Deslauriers (foot) skated with his teammates on Sunday.

It marked his first session of that nature in three weeks, but he participated in a non-contact role. Deslauriers may be ready to return after the All-Star break.

There hasn't been much in the way of updates regarding Nicolas Deslauriers (lower body).

If you have him in a fantasy league and are concerned by that, we urge patience. Deslauriers' original timetable was three-to-five weeks and we're a little more than two weeks into it. The silver lining in all of this is that the All-Star break is drawing close and that will give him a little more than a week where he'll be able to rest and recover without missing additional Sabres games.
Jan 20 - 5:30 PM

Nicolas Deslauriers will be out of action for three-to-five weeks because of a lower-body injury.

He is sidelined with what is believed to be a foot injury. Deslauriers has seven points and 102 hits in 38 games this year.
Jan 4 - 1:21 PM

Nicolas Deslauriers was at the center of attention in Monday's game versus Washington and he may get some more special treatment in Wednesday's rematch.

"For sure, there could be some things going on out there – and it could be really quiet," Deslauriers said Tuesday. "We'll just see. I'm here to play hockey. I'm not here to fight every single game. We'll try to get a win down there." The Capitals were upset after a Deslauriers hit bloodied Justin Williams and then Michael Latta suffered an arm injury in a fight with Deslauriers in retaliation. When he celebrated after the fight win, he really enraged the Washington players. The Capitals called up Zach Sill on Tuesday, so they may be anticipating another chippy game.

Nicolas Deslauriers skated on the top line at Monday's practice.

The Sabres did some line shuffling after losing Evander Kane to an MCL injury, so Deslauriers is projected to play Tuesday alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Tyler Ennis. Even though Deslauriers is getting an opportunity it's likely that Matt Moulson could be double-shifted to provide more of an offensive punch.

Nicolas Deslauriers (illness) was able to play in Tuesday's game versus Columbus.

He was good to go after participating in the pregame warmup, so Nikita Zadorov remained a healthy scratch. Deslauriers missed the morning skate due to an illness.

Nicolas Deslauriers is questionable for Tuesday's contest due to an illness.

Deslauriers has five goals and 13 points in 60 games this season. It looks like the Sabres are probably going to dress seven defensemen if Deslauriers isn't available, with Nikita Zadorov coming out of the press box.

Nicolas Deslauriers scored in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win against Philadelphia.

It was his first point since Dec. 27, which amounted to 21 straight games. Deslauriers also added three hits to give him 188 in 58 matches this year.

Nicolas Deslauriers fought Luke Gazdic early on in the third period of Edmonton's 3-2 win over Buffalo on Thursday night.

The Oilers were up 2-1 at the time, so one imagines that Deslauriers was trying to rally the troops. Either way, Deslauriers added five hits and a block onto his five penalty minutes during his 6:57 of ice time. He also spent 70 seconds on the penalty kill. Through 49 games he has 12 points and 55 PIMs.

Nicolas Deslauriers scored and assisted to lead the Sabres to a 4-3 shootout win over the Islanders on Saturday night.

Deslauriers scored the first goal of the third period to cut the Islanders’ advantage to 3-1, then he assisted on Zemgus Girgenson’s shorthanded goal less than four minutes later. Deslauriers had shown very little offensively during his cup of coffee last year and early this season, but he now has four of his 12 points over the last three games. He also has two of his four goals then, too. Chris Stewart scored the winner. Josh Gorges and Drew Stafford had two helpers apiece.

Since November 15th, the Buffalo Sabres are 5-1-0 at First Niagara Center.

The Sabres have been playing much better hockey of late and they've been getting results that they weren't able to achieve at the beginning of the season. "It’s just taking one game after another and we just kept winning," said forward Nicolas Deslauriers. "I know we had a tough trip in Tampa and Florida, but we bounced back here [on Tuesday] and it’s just been awesome." The Sabres are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games. Buffalo hosts Calgary on Thursday night.

Nicolas Deslauriers was assessed a match penalty when he speared Vladimir Tarasenko late in the third period.

The play will be reviewed by the NHL as a result to see if supplemental discipline is required. Deslauriers has one goal, one assist and a whopping 60 hits in 17 games this campaign.
