Ryan Strome scored Friday in his return to the Islanders lineup.
Strome was sent to the minors three weeks ago and managed a couple of goals and four points in eight games with Bridgeport of the AHL. He was recalled Thursday and potted a goal, his second of the NHL season. Strome played alongside Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolay Kulemin Friday and it seemed to work. "I thought he played well," coach Jack Capuano said of Strome. "He played with some confidence and some poise." He is worth a look in deeper pools at this time as he did have 17 goals and 50 points last season. Nov 28 - 8:37 AM
