It looks like Ryan Murphy might get some power-play ice time on Thursday.

Murphy was practicing on the second unit with John-Michael Liles, Jeff Skinner, Kris Versteeg, and Riley Nash. Murphy was recalled on Tuesday after spending two games in the AHL. "He was playing real well before he got hurt," Hurricanes coach Bill Peters said. "He missed two weeks, which is a significant amount of time. He went down, got his timing back and now he’s ready to play. We assume he’s going to pick up right where he left off."
