Alex Khokhlachev, Joe Morrow, and Zach Trotman will each be scratched for Friday's match with Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately, neither Morrow nor Trotman have proven to be much of a fantasy asset through 26 combined games this season. Khokhlachev is little different at the NHL level through three games, however he's posted six goals and 20 points in 17 games with AHL Providence. Which makes the determined 22-year-old forward an intriguing deep depth option in leagues that support such maneuvers.

"I really got comfortable in the last two games I played here earlier this year. So now [I just want to] show that I can play here at this level, you know? I'll try to play hard," he said. "The game is different here from the AHL, for sure. I feel more comfortable up here this year than I did last year, and hopefully it just gets better and better with every game." He has played in six career NHL games, including two this year and doesn't have a point yet.

Alexander Khokhlachev is expected to skate on the second line Tuesday night against Dallas.

Khokhlachev comes into tonight's game with 38 goals and 103 points for AHL Providence since the 2012-13 season, which includes four goals and 13 points in 10 games so far this season. So skating to the right of Loui Eriksson and David Krejci sounds like an optimal utilization for both he and the team.

Alexander Khokhlachev is growing impatient regarding his chances of making the Boston Bruins' full-time roster.

"I've been waiting two years so [the Bruins] should make a decision: give me a chance [in the NHL] or...I don't know. We'll see what they do. I’m not a young guy anymore. I'm 22 already," Khokhlachev told CSNNE.com. "If they don't give me a chance to play while I'm here...I won’t play in Providence all of my life. I'm still waiting for [my chance]."
