Jan 18 - 11:29 PM

Joel Armia notched his first career NHL goal in the Jets’ 4-1 win against the Sharks on Saturday night.

It’s the game-winner, too. Armia was sent to the Jets as part of the Evander Kane trade. He has played eight NHL games (seven this year with the Jets), and this counts as his first NHL point as well. Even though he is a former first-round pick with considerable upside, it’s too early to utilize him in yearly leagues. Drew Stafford, Nikolaj Ehlers and Mathieu Perreault picked up the other goals. Blake Wheeler had two assists.
