Jamie Oleksiak has been suspended for two games for his illegal check to the head of Chris VandeVelde.

The Department of Player Saftey notes that Oleksiak made the head the principal point of contact when it could have been avoided. And they're right. While the hit wasn't vicious, it was avoidable and inappropriate. As it is, Oleksiak will be eligible to return on Thursday, Dec. 15th. He will forfeit just over $10K in salary as well.
