Jonas Brodin had a goal and an assist in Minnesota's 5-4 loss to Anaheim on Friday night.

Brodin also played 28:39 in the game. It's the first multi-point game of the season for Brodin. The 21-year-old has one goal and four points in 15 games this season. He is getting more ice time because Ryan Suter is out with an injury. The Wild were down 3-0 in this game, but Brodin's goal late in the second period tied the game up. Minnesota ended taking a 4-3 lead in the third period, but were unable to hold on for the win. Brodin was named the game's second star.

He managed to return to the game, but had his left hand bandaged afterward. "He's sore in a couple different spots," coach Mike Yeo said. "You look at that hit, he went into the boards and it's pretty much like being in a car crash. He's a really tough kid. It's a pretty amazing that he was able to come back and play to be honest with you. We've seen him do this over and over again. He's tough. If he's sore, we're a little bit concerned." Jonas Brodin was hit dangerously into the end boards by Rangers forward Chris Kreider during Monday's loss.

Kreider received a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct late in the first period, while Brodin left the game temporarily. He was able to return during the second stanza. Brodin hurt his hand on the play, but it doesn't appear as though he'll miss additional time.
