Dmitrij Jaskin will play in his first playoff game Thursday night when the Blues host Minnesota in Game 1 of the opening round.

He's projected to play with David Backes and Patrik Berglund. Jaskin scored in back-to-back games to close out the regular season and he registered 18 points in 54 games over the course of the year.

After being a healthy scratch last Tuesday, forward Dmitrij Jaskin will be back in the St. Louis lineup when the Blues entertain the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday night.

Jaskin has been in a slump, with no points in the past 10 games. He was scratched Tuesday for the first time since Jan. 17. He'll be back Saturday on a line with Paul Stastny and Patrik Berglund. On the season, Jaskin has 11 goals and four assists in 46 games.

The 21-year-old played a season-high 17:07 in the game. Jaskin opened the scoring at the 12:11 mark of the first period. The young Russian now has 10 goals, 14 points and a plus-9 rating in 35 games in 2014-15. He finished the night with four shots, four hits and a plus-1 rating. He was named the game's second star.

Jaskin scored his ninth at 14:33 of the third period to end Thomas Greiss’ shutout bid. He has 13 points in 32 games this season. Ian Cole picked up the other goal. Vladimir Tarasenko got two helpers.

In Thursday's night's game Jaskin had a career-high 16:22 of ice time and seems to be gaining confidence. With three goals in his last five games, Jaskin is worth watching, even though his upside is limited this season due to his third-line status.

Dmitrij Jaskin will be back in the Blues lineup Monday against the Avalanche.

After sitting the last two games, Jaskin will be back on the wing with Jaden Schwartz and Paul Stastny to form the Blues third line. The 21-year-old promising star has four goals and three assists in 18 games this year but according to head coach Ken Hitchcock, he has to play a more physical game and almost be a role player in order to stay in the Blues lineup. He will take Joakim Lindstrom's spot in the lineup Monday.

Well this should not be a surprise. Butler and Ian cole have been taking turns sitting in the press box and Jaskin won't play because T.J. Oshie looks good to go after blocking a shot Tuesday.

Dmitrij Jaskin scored his second goal of the season Thursday night, but the Blues still lost to the Kings 6-4.

It was a textbook tip as Jaskin deflected Petteri Lindbohm's low shot up high over and past Jonathan Quick to make it 2-0 Blues late in the first period. The talented youngster now has two goals in seven games this season.

Dmitrij Jaskin has been called up by St. Louis.

He is slated to play with Patrik Berglund and Paul Stastny on Thursday night. "We're looking for someone to fill that spot, and whether it's 'Jask' or whether it's (Magnus) Paajarvi or whether it's (Joakim Lindstrom), somebody needs to fill that spot for us," said coach Ken Hitchcock.

In six games with the Blues this season, Jaskin has one goal and six shots. He has generated one goal and four points in four games in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves.
