Rocco Grimaldi will return to the Panthers' lineup on Saturday against the Rangers.

Grimaldi will skate on the third line to the right of Brandon Pirri and Vincent Trocheck. It's been a tough season for the young phenom Grimaldi however, through 13 combined NHL and AHL games he has but a goal and four points. He may be full of talent, but we'd wait until he starts to blossom.
Nov 21 - 6:50 PM

Rocco Grimaldi is a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Anaheim Ducks.

The 22-year-old has one goal in eight contests with the Panthers this season. He was the team's second round pick, 33rd overall, in 2011. Quinton Howden will also be a healthy scratch against Anaheim.
Nov 19 - 7:38 PM

Rocco Grimaldi scored his first goal of the season Wednesday night against Anaheim.

The 22-year-old forward, who was born a few miles away from the Honda Center, was playing in front of about 30 family members and friends. Grimaldi opened the scoring in the second period, but Florida lost 3-2 in a shootout. He has two goals in nine career NHL games.
Nov 5 - 8:12 AM

Rocco Grimaldi is thrilled to be on Florida's West Coast road trip.

He grew up in Southern California so he'll have plenty of family and friends in attendance for Wednesday's game against Anaheim. However, his focus is on trying to prove he belongs at the NHL level. "I'm very happy, very fortunate that call came," Grimaldi said. "This is an opportunity but it doesn't mean I'm on the team for good. It depends on what I do from now on."
Nov 4 - 10:34 AM

Rocco Grimaldi played 12:43 in his regular season debut on Saturday.

Grimaldi was recalled from the minors because Jaromir Jagr is out with a lower-body injury. The 22-year-old had a minimal impact on the game, and although he has some good potential, he probably won't make an offensive impact in 2015-16.
Nov 1 - 10:27 AM

Rocco Grimaldi has been recalled by the Panthers in the wake of placing Aleks Barkov on I/R and losing Jaromir Jagr.

It doesn't appear that Grimaldi will play Saturday night against Washington, but when he does, know that over his last 69 games in the AHL he's popped 14 goals and 45 points.

Rocco Grimaldi may get brought up by the Panthers after Aleksander Barkov left Thursday's game with an upper-body injury.

Grimaldi was assigned to the minors to get back into game shape after recovering from an ankle injury. He had one goal and 18 shots in seven games with the Panthers last year.
Oct 23 - 8:37 AM

Rocco Grimaldi has been assigned to AHL Portland.

Grimaldi had been dealing with an ankle injury that placed him on injured reserve for the start of the regular season. He'll get back to game shape in the minors and then he could be back with the big club. Grimaldi produced 14 goals and 42 points in 64 minor-league games last season.
Oct 12 - 6:44 PM

Rocco Grimaldi skated again on Saturday and is nearing a return to action.

He participated in the Panthers' morning skate and seems to have recovered from an ankle injury that kept him from playing in the Cats' season debut Friday night. Grimaldi, who is not really a fantasy factor, should be considered day-to-day.

Rocco Grimaldi (ankle) skated on Friday.

Grimaldi will start the season on the injured list, but Panthers GM Dale Tallon said he will be reevaluated on Saturday. The 5'6, 160 pounder scored one goal in seven NHL games last season. He should be considered day-to-day at this point.
Oct 10 - 7:24 AM

Rocco Grimaldi (ankle) might start the regular season on Florida's injured list.

He suffered a sprained ankle last week in a preseason game. Grimaldi stood a good chance of making Florida's roster to start the regular season, but his injury will set him back.

Rocco Grimaldi sustained an ankle injury during Tuesday's game.

Grimaldi is expected to be sidelined for at least the next week as a result. He had a goal in seven contests with the Florida Panthers last season.
Sep 24 - 2:40 PM

Florida wants to get Rocco Grimaldi back on their roster.

He was sent down to the minors on Sunday because the Panthers got some forwards back from injury. Grimaldi generated plenty of offensive chances, with 18 shots and a goal, during his seven games with the big club. Florida would also like to open up a spot for Vincent Trocheck and possibly Quinton Howden once he's healthy, so some trades could be coming. Veterans like Tomas Kopecky, Tomas Fleischmann and Sean Bergenheim have been mentioned as candidates to be moved.

The Florida Panthers have assigned Rocco Grimaldi to the minors.

Grimaldi scored his first NHL goal on Saturday against Nashville. He should be back up with the Panthers soon.
