Date:

Joe Morrow has been a frequent healthy scratch this season, but he has played in each of Boston's last three contests.

"He's played three good games with us, so I'm happy with that," coach Claude Julien said. "There [had been] a drop in his play, the consistency, but we've addressed that, and to me he's had three pretty strong games. That's the encouraging part of a young player getting better for us." Morrow picked up his first point, with an assist, in Saturday's 4-1 win over Winnipeg.
Nov 21 - 9:21 AM

Joe Morrow will tag in for Colin Miller against the Avalanche on Sunday.

Morrow has yet to make his mark on the stat sheet through two games this season. He also has just eight points in 50 career games, so we'd leave him on the wire.

Joe Morrow is a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against Montreal.

Morrow will sit out, again, while Jimmy Hayes will take injured forward Noel Acciari's spot on the roster.

Joe Morrow will be scratched against Detroit on Saturday.

The 23-year-old has just eight points in 50 career NHL games, so he unfortunately has not proven himself to be productive at the highest level.

Oct 26 - 7:55 PM

Joe Morrow will be a healthy scratch in Boston's game against Minnesota on Tuesday night.

The Bruins will go with Zdeno Chara, Brandon Carlo, Torey Krug, Adam McQuaid, John-Michael Liles and Colin Miller in front of rookie goalie Malcolm Subban tonight. Don't expect Morrow to have any fantasy value this season.
Oct 25 - 6:53 PM

Joe Morrow made his season debut Thursday night.

He logged 16:08 of ice time against New Jersey after he was a healthy scratch in the first three games of the year. Rob O'Gara sat in the press box instead in a 2-1 win over the Devils.
Oct 21 - 7:24 AM

Joe Morrow and Tim Schaller will each be scratched for Thursday's opener against Columbus.

Though still both young players with less than 50 games of NHL experience each, neither Morrow nor Schaller has shown they produce even for fantasy purposes. So feel free to pass them by until further notice.

Oct 13 - 6:29 PM

Joe Morrow is hopeful that he will play on a more consistent basis in 2016-17.

He was limited to 33 appearances last season and sat frequently as a healthy scratch. "This year I look forward to stepping up into a more consistent role, and that pretty much isn't up to anybody but me. I look forward to it," he said. "It's always to have a little more pressure on you. You tend to play a little better, at least from my perspective in the past playing junior in playoff situations. I've always kind of stepped my game up, so I kind of view it as [that situation]. I aim to not disappointment anyone. I'm looking forward to that." Morrow and Colin Miller are expected to get plenty of opportunities to establish themselves as regulars in the lineup.
Sep 19 - 6:40 PM

Joe Morrow has agreed to a one-year, $800,000 contract.

Morrow's deal is one-way, so he'll earn the full salary even if he's sent to the minors. He had a goal and seven points in 33 contests with Boston last season.
Jul 15 - 11:46 AM

Joe Morrow was in the lineup for the Bruins in New Jersey Tuesday night.

Mar 23 - 7:51 PM

Joe Morrow, Tyler Randell, and Zach Trotman will be scratched from Saturday's tilt with the Islanders.

Of the three only Randell has much fantasy value, though he hasn't played in nearly a month. Randell has posted 36 hits and 47 PIMs in 25 games this season.
