Joe Morrow was among a group of players participating in extra skating drills this morning that appeared to be healthy scratches.

Scratched alongside Morrow is defenseman Zach Trotman and forwards Brett Connolly and Tyler Randell. American League star Frank Vatrano will be slotted into the lineup.
Mar 23 - 7:51 PM

Joe Morrow, Tyler Randell, and Zach Trotman will be scratched from Saturday's tilt with the Islanders.

Of the three only Randell has much fantasy value, though he hasn't played in nearly a month. Randell has posted 36 hits and 47 PIMs in 25 games this season.
Mar 12 - 12:47 PM

Joe Morrow will be a healthy scratch in Monday's game against the Florida Panthers.

Mar 7 - 7:43 PM

Joe Morrow has been a healthy scratch for the last two games.

He lost his spot in the lineup to veteran defender John-Michael Liles, who the Bruins acquired at trade deadline. "I felt like I was playing well, felt like I was contributing, and felt like I was becoming a pretty good asset for this team," said Morrow. "But we've played with eight defensemen for most of the year, so it's nothing different, if they decide to rotate us in or whatever they plan to do. I just have to stay ready, practice hard and keep trying to improve and wait for the next opportunity to get in the lineup." He has seven points and 37 shots in 27 games this campaign.
Mar 4 - 7:57 AM

Joe Morrow has registered four assists in the last two games.

He has recorded two helpers in each of those contests, including Monday's 6-4 loss to Columbus. Morrow has seven points in 24 games this season.
Feb 23 - 9:46 AM

Joe Morrow will tag in for Colin Miller for Saturday's match with Buffalo.

This will be Morrow's first game since Jan. 23rd, and he has just 18 games overall to his credit this season. With just three points and little else to his credit however, perhaps he ought to remain on your bench.
Feb 6 - 6:53 PM

Joe Morrow will tag in for Colin Miller against Toronto on Saturday night.

Morrow hasn't played since the Winter Classic, and has just 14 total games to his credit this season. He has accumulated two points and 20 blocks, which isn't enough to warrant much attention.
Jan 16 - 6:55 PM

Joe Morrow is expected to tag in for the injured Torey Krug in Ottawa on Sunday.

Morrow has played in 11 games for Boston this season, and just five since Halloween. Which unfortunately tells you about all you need to know about his potential fantasy value.

Unfortunately, this will just Morrow's 10th game of the season. He has just a point and not much else to show for his efforts.

Joe Morrow and Tyler Randell are healthy scratches against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday

The former Penguins first selection in 2011 (23rd overall), Morrow has dressed in nine games and scored a goal, skating 15:59 overall (9-1-0-1). This will be his 11th straight scratch. Tyler Randell, the 24-year-old Scarborough native, has appeared in limited minutes over a dozen games, scoring three goals (12-3-0-3). He would be a considered depth forward and not likely owned in any league.

Updating an earlier item, it was thought that Joe Morrow may draw back into the lineup on Saturday but he was scratched against the Maple Leafs.

It's been a tough season for Morrow, who's seen just nine games with little to show for his efforts. The kid may hold boat loads of talent, but we'd wait until he begins to blossom a bit more before paying attention.

It looks like Joe Morrow might draw into the Bruins' lineup on Saturday.

Morrow has spent six straight games in the press box. However, if he does play it looks like it would be as a fourth line forward rather than a defenseman. "No memory of it at all," Morrow said, when asked if he's played as a forward before. "But growing up, my defensive game was kind of like playing forward, so it wasn’t too far from what I know."
