Joe Morrow, Matt Fraser, and Zach Trotman will all be healthy scratches against in Winnipeg on Friday night.

While each young player has potential to be an NHL-regular, only Fraser has much fantasy value at this time. With 38 PIMs over his 21 games, he's worth keeping an eye on for spot-starts against other pugilistic teams.

Defensemen Joe Morrow and Matt Bartkowski will both be healthy scratches Wednesday versus the Wild.

Morrow hasn’t been on the ice for B’s since December 6th against Arizona and will continue to give way to fellow youngster, Zach Trotman in Wednesday’s game against the Wild. Morrow only has one goal in 15 games played this year. Matt Bartkowski hasn’t seen game action for the Bruins since December 4th against the Sharks and also has three assists in 14 games played on the year.

Joe Morrow will replace Matt Bartkowski as Dennis Seidenberg's left-side partner Tuesday night in Nashville.

Through 15 games with the Bruins, Morrow has one goal and point, four PIMs, 18 hits, 20 shots on goal, and 22 blocks. The 22 year old defender showed he had an offensive flare last season in AHL Providence with 29 points in 56 games, but it hasn't materialized in the NHL just yet.

Joe Morrow earned his first NHL point in Monday's overtime loss to Pittsburgh.

Joe Morrow doesn't have a point in three games with the Boston Bruins, but he feels his offensive game will come around.

"I've kind of always been known as a more flashy, offensive player, more risky, I don't know, a kind of all-over-the-place kind of guy," Morrow said. "But I've learned pretty quick that even if I tried it up here, it wouldn't fly and it wouldn't be good. It wouldn't be good for anybody, especially myself. I feel comfortable with the way I'm playing and I think I'll just stay like that for now." Morrow has racked up eight shots and he's posted a plus-2 rating thus far. He's been averaging 17:29 of ice time per contest, but he hasn't seen any power-play time.

Defenceman Joe Morrow made his NHL debut against the Sabres Thursday night and aquitted himself quite well.

In 17:51 minutes of playing time Morrow took four shots on goal and was plus one. Bruins' coach Claude Julien was certainly impressed. "I thought (Morrow) moved the puck well. He doesn't seem to be rattled by anything," Julien said. "For a guy who played in his first NHL game, the last thing he looked was nervous. He was so calm, made good plays. Yea, he made a few mistakes like everybody else during the period of a game, but I thought he handled himself well." Look for Morrow to dress for Saturday's game against Ottawa. Morrow has some offensive upside as he was a scoring star with Portland of the WHL and registered 29 points in 56 games in the AHL last season. See if he gets some PP time with Zdeno Chara and Torey Krug out of the lineup.

The Boston Bruins have called up Joe Morrow.

Morrow has a goal and an assist in five AHL games this season. He has some offensive upside, but we think it will take at least a couple more years of development before he's worth owning in standard leagues.

Joe Morrow has been acquired by Boston.

He was sent to the Bruins as part of the deal that saw Tyler Seguin go to Dallas and Loui Eriksson head to Boston. Morrow was picked up by the Stars in the deal that sent Brenden Morrow to Pittsburgh. In his first season of AHL play, he recorded 19 points and 39 penalty minutes in 66 games between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Texas.

The Dallas Stars have sent Joe Morrow to the AHL.

Dallas acquired Morrow from the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of the Brenden Morrow deal. Joe Morrow could be a future power-play quarterback for the Stars, but for now he'll continue to hone his skills in the minors.

Defenseman Joe Morrow could be the Stars future quarterback on the power play.

Morrow was acquired Sunday from the Penguins in exchange for Brenden Morrow with draft picks dealt from both sides. Morrow is a two-way blueliner who is tough and physical defensively but has improved the offensive side of his game and can now quarterback the power play and has a big shot from the point. "He was a person that we had our eye on in the draft," GM Joe Nieuwendyk said. "He has great skating ability, a really hard shot, and he's still very young. He just turned 20. He's a legitimate NHL prospect who fits a need in our group." Morrow was selected 23rd overall in the 2011 Draft and could be called up from the AHL before the end of the season.

It's true: prospect Joe Morrow is now a member of the Dallas Stars via a trade that involved Brenden Morrow (no relation).

Also involved in the trade: a third-rounder goes to Pittsburgh while Dallas gets a fifth-round pick. The deal has interesting ramifications for both sides.
