Vladislav Namestnikov was part of a five-forward power play combination at Thursday's practice.

He skated with Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat during the session. Coach Jon Cooper wouldn't say if the unit would be used Friday night, but the Lightning need to do something to get going with the man advantage. They have gone 0-for-12 in the past five games and they rank 25th in the league on the power play with 38 goals on 227 chances.

Vladislav Namestnikov (upper body) returned to action on Saturday.

Namestnikov picked up an assist on Saturday and now has 10 goals and 27 points this season. He has a bit of fantasy value but players like Namestnikov are a dime a dozen and you have to get lucky with them when they are on a hot streak.
Feb 21 - 3:22 AM

Lightning coach Jon Cooper believes that Vladislav Namestnikov will play in at least one of the team's games this weekend.

The Bolts play against the Penguins Saturday afternoon and against Carolina Sunday night and Cooper is confident that Namestnikov will be in the lineup Sunday if not Saturday. Get ready to activate him if you need him.

Feb 18 - 7:07 PM

Vladislav Namestnikov (upper body) remains questionable for Thursday's game.

Namestnikov has been practicing and even if he does miss tonight's contest, he shouldn't be out for much longer than that. If he can't play then Jonathan Marchessault will likely help fill the void.
Feb 18 - 3:15 PM

Feb 16 - 12:54 PM

Vladislav Namestnikov is "felling better" according reporter Erik Erlendsson, but he's still a game time decision.

Namestnikov has had a nice sophomore season for the Lighting, posting 10 goals and 26 points over 54 games this season. Though what's interesting is that he's shooting at a 13.9% clip as a 23-year-old. His point totals may be low but that goal scoring ability leaves something to be intrigued by.
