Oscar Klefbom scored his third goal in three games Monday.
The former first round pick is getting hot as the Oilers are starting to pick up the pace once again after a slump that saw them go 2-7-1 recently. Klefbom was goalless in his previous 27 games going back to last season so the streak has come at a great time for his confidence. "I was almost a little frustrated after 10, 11, 12 games," Klefbom said. "I was hitting some posts and not getting the bounces some games. But I’m really happy with today." He now has seven points this season but as far as fantasy is concerned he has yet to take a minor penalty. If you don't play the stat that is amazing but it doesn't help your squad if you do. Oscar Klefbom found the back of the net in Edmonton's 4-2 loss against Los Angeles on Thursday.

It was Klefbom's first goal and fourth point in 18 games this season. He might pick up the pace a touch as the season drags on to end up with over 20 points.

Oscar Klefbom scored in Edmonton's 5-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Klefbom's unassisted goal in the second period cut Winnipeg's lead to 3-1, but that's as close as Edmonton would come to tying the game. The 23-year-old scored four goals and eight assists in 30 games with the Oilers last season.
Sep 30 - 10:56 PM

Oscar Klefbom is completely over the foot infection that plagued him last season.

Klefbom was limited to 30 games last season and hasn't played since Dec. 11. When he was healthy he had four goals and 12 points.

Oscar Klefbom (leg) will not be able to return before the end of the season.

Klefbom last played on Dec. 11. He originally was sidelined with a broken finger, but later suffered two infections to his leg and had minor surgery. The silver lining is that he should be fine for the 2016-17 campaign. "From what I’ve been told when Oscar shows up training camp next season, we won’t even be talking about this," said McLellan. "If our team had played well enough to give ourselves a shot at the playoffs, maybe Oscar would have been out there. Right now, it makes no sense to put him on the ice and have it (cured) to the just about line and then have it go back. Let’s let it heal."
Apr 5 - 9:27 AM

Oscar Klefbom (leg) is at the point where he's in full gear when he skates.

Klefbom, who hasn't played since Dec. 11, was originally out with a broken finger, but he later suffered two infections and had minor surgery. At this point the Oilers are just hoping that they can get him into some games before the season ends so that he can enter the summer on a positive note.
Mar 8 - 9:17 AM

Oscar Klefbom (leg) has been skating lately.

Klefbom's return has been delayed before due to two infections to his leg and a minor surgery. He might finally be able to play in early March though.
Feb 25 - 10:55 AM

Oscar Klefbom (leg) might make his return during the Oilers' current homestand.

Edmonton is about to begin a six-game homestand that will draw to a close with a game against Ottawa on Feb. 23. Klefbom was originally out with a broken finger, but is now sidelined due to a leg infection.
Feb 11 - 10:57 AM

Oscar Klefbom now has a leg infection.

Klefbom was originally out with a broken finger. That's healed, but his more recent injury is preventing him from skating. With this new development, there's no timetable for his return.
Feb 4 - 11:01 AM

The Edmonton Oilers are expecting Oscar Klefbom (finger) to return after the All-Star break.

It's unclear when he'll return, but it won't be before early February. The 22-year-old has missed each of Edmonton's last 12 games since suffering a broken finger. He has four goals and 12 points in 30 games this season.
Jan 9 - 2:37 PM

Unfortunately for the Edmonton Oilers, Oscar Klefbom will not be returning any time soon per Coach Todd McLellan.

The young defender hasn't played since suffering a broken finger knuckle on December 11th, and is also dealing with a lower body injury to boot. Through 30 games this season, Klefbom posted 12 points with 62 hits while averaging nearly 22 minutes a night.
Jan 1 - 6:37 PM

In addition to Oscar Klefbom's broken knuckle, he has a lower-body injury.

Klefbom isn't expected to rejoin the Edmonton Oilers in the near future. He has four goals and 12 points in 30 contests in 2015-16.
Jan 1 - 6:37 PM

Oscar Klefbom's hand injury is more specifically a broken knuckle.

Klefbom has missed Edmonton's last two games. There's a chance that Klefbom will return on Monday, but a more likely return date would be Dec. 26 against Vancouver. He has four goals and 12 points in 30 contests in 2015-16.

Oscar Klefbom's hand injury is less serious than what was originally reported.

General manager of the Edmonton Oilers Peter Chiarelli updated Oscar Klefbom's status on Sunday, indicating that the hand injury the 22-year-old suffered on Friday is not as significant as it was originally thought. Klefbom was believed to have broken a finger, but it appears as though he may join the Oilers on their upcoming four game road trip. Klefbom has four goals and 12 points in 30 games.

Do not expect to see Oscar Klefbom (fractured finger) in the Edmonton lineup in the near future.

A fractured finger is not a good injury to have for a blueliner although we guess it would be worse for a goalie. Klefbom has four goals and 12 points in 30 games so you will have to look elsewhere to replace his offense in the near future.
