Nick Shore has signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings.
Shore will come with a $600,000 annual cap hit at the NHL level, but the first season of his deal is two ways. He had a goal and seven points in 34 games last season. The LA Kings have sent Nick Shore back to the AHL to join the Manchester Monarchs.

Shore was only able to put up seven points during the first 34 games of his NHL career with the Kings. However he's posted 34 goals and 80 points over 117 games with the Monarchs the last two regular season, including a career best of 20 goals and 42 points in just 38 games.

Shore assisted on Jeff Carter's goal in a 4-2 loss to San Jose. It was Shore's third career NHL game. Although we can't recommend picking him up in standard leagues at this time, he did excel in the AHL and is worth keeping an eye on as long as he's with Los Angeles.

Shore practiced alongside Jeff Carter and Dwight King on Friday and is a big clue as to whether or not he will play. Shore was red hot in the minors as he had 36 points in his last 28 games before his recall. He may be worth a flier, especially if he continues to play with Carter.

The Los Angeles Kings have signed Nick Shore to a three-year/entry-level contract.

Shore has played the last three seasons with the University of Denver as the Kings drafted him in the third round, 82nd overall in 2011. He had 34 points this past season, including 14 goals, after a 13 goal and 41 point campaign last season. He will require seasoning in the minors.

The Los Angeles Kings selected Nick Shore with the 82nd overall pick in round 3.

Shore has a nice style of play that will fit in the Kings' system. A lot of scouts are excited about him but he cannot be an immediate impact player. Shore played for the University of Denver last season, picking up seven goals and 11 assists in 33 games.
