The Anaheim Ducks recalled Stefan Noesen on Saturday afternoon.

Through his first full season with AHL San Diego, Noesen posted 10 goals and 23 points through 63 games. Not too shabby for the 23-year-old trying to rebuild his career after a slog of injuries.

Mar 3 - 5:16 PM

Stefan Noesen put home a nice back handed power play goal on Friday night during the Ducks' 2-1 win over the rival Kings.

Some times all you have to do is get a piece of the puck, but to do that you have to be in the right place at the right time. Noesen put those two critical details together during a second period four-on-three power play for his first of the pre-season. He went on to tally five shots and two hits during his 18:51 of ice time.

Stefan Noesen has been summoned from the AHL.

The Ducks lost Chris Wagner to an upper-body injury on Saturday, which has prompted Noesen's recall. He made his NHL debut on Apr. 3 against Colorado. The 22-year-old forward had 16 points in 27 games with Norfolk this season.

Stefan Noesen blocked a shot for his only contribution to the score sheet during the first 6:54 of his NHL career on Friday night.

Not an electrifying start to one's career, but it's a start nevertheless. The Ducks would go on to fall to the Avalanche 4-2. Noesen has five goals and 13 points in 23 AHL contests in 2014-15.

Stefan Noesen will make his NHL debut on Friday.

Noesen has five goals and 13 points in 23 AHL contests in 2014-15. He is projected to start on the fourth line with Chris Wagner and Emerson Etem. Although major injuries have slowed Noesen down, he still has the potential to develop into a top-six forward.

Stefan Noesen has been called up by the Anaheim Ducks.

Noesen was taken with the 21st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, but unfortunately he's had to deal with far more than his share of injury issues. He has five goals and 13 points in 23 AHL contests in 2014-15 after being limited to just two minor league contests last season.

Stefan Noesen (Achilles) played on Friday for the first time in four months.

Noesen was injured in an AHL game in October and was expected to miss four months so he is right on schedule. The injury-prone forward missed all but six games last season with a torn ACL and MCL. The hard luck Noesen was drafted by Ottawa 21st overall in 2011 and dealt to Anaheim in the Bobby Ryan deal. "Whatever happens, happens," Noesen said. "(Norfolk coach Jarrod Skalde) told me not to expect too much because you can’t make up for two years in one night." Noesen had an assist in the 2-0 win over Syracuse.

Stefan Noesen suffered an Achilles injury while playing in the AHL.

Noesen is tentatively expected to miss four months as a result. This is another terrible setback for the 21-year-old prospect, who was limited to two AHL games in 2013-14 because of a torn ACL and MCL. He was taken with the 21st overall pick by the Ottawa Senators in 2011, but was acquired by Anaheim as part of the Bobby Ryan trade.

Stefan Noesen had a goal and two assists to lead Anaheim to a 5-4 shootout win over San Jose in a Futures game.

Noesen played only two AHL games last season before tearing his ACL and MCL which required surgery that ended his season. Noesen is highly regarded and was Ottawa's first round pick, 21st overall in the 2011 Draft. He was part of the trade that sent Bobby Ryan to Ottawa. Rikard Rackell, Andrew O'Brien and William Karlsson also scored for the Ducks, who open their main camp this week.

Anaheim prospect Stefan Noesen will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL and MCL.

Noesen was one of the young players acquired by Anaheim from the Senators in the Bobby Ryan trade over the summer and is expected to deliver some offense once he cracks the NHL lineup. His development will be slowed by this injury, but given the success rate on this type of recovery nowadays he's still worth considering in keeper leagues.

Stefan Noesen has a "significant" knee injury, according to the Ducks.

According to the Los Angeles Times' Helene Elliott, the forward is undergoing tests and is on crutches. Noesen was a prospect -- the 21st overall pick in the 2011 draft -- acquired from the Senators in the Bobby Ryan trade this past offseason. The 20-year-old had no points in two games in the AHL this year. He's coming off an OHL campaign in which he scored 25 times and had 53 points in 51 games. More information is expected to be released in the coming days.
