Stefan Noesen (Achilles) played on Friday for the first time in four months.
Noesen was injured in an AHL game in October and was expected to miss four months so he is right on schedule. The injury-prone forward missed all but six games last season with a torn ACL and MCL. The hard luck Noesen was drafted by Ottawa 21st overall in 2011 and dealt to Anaheim in the Bobby Ryan deal. "Whatever happens, happens," Noesen said. "(Norfolk coach Jarrod Skalde) told me not to expect too much because you can’t make up for two years in one night." Noesen had an assist in the 2-0 win over Syracuse. Feb 15 - 4:53 AM

Stefan Noesen suffered an Achilles injury while playing in the AHL.

Noesen is tentatively expected to miss four months as a result. This is another terrible setback for the 21-year-old prospect, who was limited to two AHL games in 2013-14 because of a torn ACL and MCL. He was taken with the 21st overall pick by the Ottawa Senators in 2011, but was acquired by Anaheim as part of the Bobby Ryan trade.

Stefan Noesen had a goal and two assists to lead Anaheim to a 5-4 shootout win over San Jose in a Futures game.

Noesen played only two AHL games last season before tearing his ACL and MCL which required surgery that ended his season. Noesen is highly regarded and was Ottawa's first round pick, 21st overall in the 2011 Draft. He was part of the trade that sent Bobby Ryan to Ottawa. Rikard Rackell, Andrew O'Brien and William Karlsson also scored for the Ducks, who open their main camp this week.

Anaheim prospect Stefan Noesen will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL and MCL.

Noesen was one of the young players acquired by Anaheim from the Senators in the Bobby Ryan trade over the summer and is expected to deliver some offense once he cracks the NHL lineup. His development will be slowed by this injury, but given the success rate on this type of recovery nowadays he's still worth considering in keeper leagues.

Stefan Noesen has a "significant" knee injury, according to the Ducks.

According to the Los Angeles Times' Helene Elliott, the forward is undergoing tests and is on crutches. Noesen was a prospect -- the 21st overall pick in the 2011 draft -- acquired from the Senators in the Bobby Ryan trade this past offseason. The 20-year-old had no points in two games in the AHL this year. He's coming off an OHL campaign in which he scored 25 times and had 53 points in 51 games. More information is expected to be released in the coming days.

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired Stefan Noesen as part of the Bobby Ryan trade.

Stefan Noesen is disappointed that he won't be able to participate in the upcoming World Junior Championship, but he isn't surprised by the decision.

"I was prepared for it, it wasn't like it was a shock," he said. Noesen expected the International Ice Hockey Federation to uphold his OHL suspension. He was assessed a 10-game ban for a charging incident which injured Oshawa's Tyler Hore on Dec. 8, but he doesn't agree with the length of the punishment. "I personally don't think it was worth 10 games, and a lot of other people don't agree it was worth 10 games, but there was an injury on the play." Noesen, who is back home in Plano, Texas, will return to Plymouth on Dec. 26 to resume practice, but he isn't eligible to play again until Jan. 11.

Stefan Noesen is ineligible to play for Team USA during the upcoming 2013 World Junior Championship.

The problem is that he's serving a 10-game suspension by the Ontario Hockey League. He will still have seven games left on that suspension when the tournament starts and IIHF has decided to honor the OHL's punishment by not allowing him to play. "While we respect the IIHF's decision, we don't feel the process is equitable," said executive director of USA Hockey Dave Ogrean. "Moving forward, we'll work with the IIHF and other federations to address the situation."

Stefan Noesen scored in Plymouth's 4-3 loss to Oshawa on Saturday night.

With 17 goals, Noesen is on pace for his third straight 30-goal season -- and it very well could be much more than that. Tom Wilson (Capitals) and Rickard Rakell (Ducks) also had markers in the loss.

Stefan Noesen will get a chance to play in the backyard of the Senators' brass on Sunday afternoon when his Plymouth Whalers visit the Ottawa 67's at Scotiabank Place in OHL action.

He didn't get the opportunity to attend NHL training camp because of the lockout, so this could be an audition of sort for the team's first-round choice in the 2011 draft. Senators assistant GM Tim Murray told the Citizen earlier this week that Noesen should easily land a spot on the U.S. world junior team. He has 14 goals and 22 points in 20 games this season.

Stefan Noesen was the lone scorer in Plymouth's 4-1 loss to London on Friday.

The Senators' first-rounder from the 2011 draft continues his goal-scoring reputation, as he now has six goals in seven games. The winger has enjoyed two straight years of at least 34 goals in the OHL.

Stefan Noesen scored twice for Plymouth on Saturday.

Noesen, the Senators' first-round pick in 2011, has proven to have a scoring touch thus far in the OHL as he's potted 30 or more for two straight seasons. So far, he's got five in 2012. The Capitals' 2012 first-rounder Tom Wilson had two assists in the 6-3 win as well.
