Stefan Noesen is disappointed that he won't be able to participate in the upcoming World Junior Championship, but he isn't surprised by the decision.
"I was prepared for it, it wasn't like it was a shock," he said. Noesen expected the International Ice Hockey Federation to uphold his OHL suspension. He was assessed a 10-game ban for a charging incident which injured Oshawa's Tyler Hore on Dec. 8, but he doesn't agree with the length of the punishment. "I personally don't think it was worth 10 games, and a lot of other people don't agree it was worth 10 games, but there was an injury on the play." Noesen, who is back home in Plano, Texas, will return to Plymouth on Dec. 26 to resume practice, but he isn't eligible to play again until Jan. 11.
