Mark Scheifele topped the Jets in preseason scoring with five points in five games.
Defenseman Ben Chiarot tied Scheifele for the lead with three goals. The Jets rested some of their top guns throughout the exhibition schedule, but it's encouraging to see Scheifele playing well. He will look to improve on his 15-goal, 49-point campaign from a year ago. Oct 5 - 9:35 AM

Mark Scheifele has added 11 pounds of muscle this off-season.

The young forward trained with former NHLer Gary Roberts and the results have been noticeable. "It’s a pretty big jump, so hopefully I’m turning into a man sooner than later," said Scheifele, who is entering his third season in the NHL after putting up a career-high 15 goals and 49 points last year. "The way Gary approaches it is unbelievable. We had DNA testing this year to see what foods digest well in our system. I learned a lot of things about my body and the kind of athlete I am. Hopefully I can carry that knowledge into the season."

Mark Scheifele feels he learned a lot from Winnipeg's first-round playoff exit against Anaheim.

"Obviously, it's going to ramp up and it's tough change from the regular season to the playoffs, but that's something you want to learn from, and obviously, I learned a lot from these four games I played in the playoffs, he said. He plans to get stronger over the summer to continue his development on the ice. Scheifele registered career highs in 2014-15, with 15 goals and 34 assists for 49 points in 82 games.
Apr 27 - 1:06 PM

A roughing penalty on Mark Scheifele at the end of the second period served as a turning point in Game 1's loss to Anaheim.

The Ducks scored on the power play at the start of the third to tie the game at 2-2. "It was just a hockey play. He gave me a slash and I pushed him back. Obviously I wish I could take it back, but I can't focus on that too much," said Scheifele. "It's done and over with, and all we can do is think about the next game." Ryan Kesler appeared to embellish on the play, but Scheifele has to be smarter in that situation. Before the penalty, Scheifele picked up his first career point of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with an assist on a goal by Drew Stafford.
Apr 17 - 11:23 AM

Mark Scheifele scored a goal and an assist in Winnipeg's 5-2 win over Montreal on Thursday night.

Scheifele's two point night gave him 14 goals and 46 points in 75 games this season.
Mar 27 - 12:39 AM

Mark Scheifele scored and assisted in the Jets’ 3-0 triumph against the Capitals on Saturday night.

Scheifele has been brilliant of late. The 22-year-old has gone pointless just three times over his past 12 games. On the year, he has 13 goals and 44 points. While it’s been a positive year for the Scheifele, the true breakout appears to be coming next year. Mark Stuart and Adam Lowry picked up the other markers. Drew Stafford tallied two assists.
Mar 21 - 9:52 PM

Mark Scheifele tallied a goal and two helpers in a 5-2 win over San Jose on Tuesday night.

He played on a productive line between Blake Wheeler, who had two goals and one assist, and Drew Stafford, who had two assists. Coach Paul Maurice has been impressed with Scheifele down the stretch. "Mark has really stepped up his game here in the last couple of weeks," Maurice said. "He's faster now, more sure with the puck. Confidence goes a long way to that. He's feeling good with the puck, shooting it now." He has generated four goals and 11 points in his last 10 outings.
Mar 18 - 2:47 PM

Mark Scheifele registered a goal in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Florida Panthers.

The 21-year-old center has collected three goals and five assists in his last eight matches. Scheifele has 11 goals and a personal high 39 points in 68 games this season.
Mar 13 - 9:32 AM

Mark Scheifele's 10th goal of the season was enough to extend his points streak to three, but not enough to earn his team the victory as the Jets lost 2-1 in a shootout to St. Louis on Thursday.

Scheifele now has 35 points in 63 games this season, to go with a +4 rating and 35 penalty minutes. The goal helped the 21-year-old surpass his career high of 34 points set last season.
Feb 26 - 11:55 PM

Mark Scheifele scored and assisted in the Jets’ 4-3 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Scheifele scored on late first-period power play and assisted on Jacob Trouba’s power-play marker less than six minutes earlier. Scheifele has nine goals and 33 points this season, so he’s one off his point total from his rookie year. Drew Stafford got two helpers.
Feb 21 - 10:34 PM

Mark Scheifele scored the lone goal for Winnipeg in the Jets' 2-1 overtime loss to the visiting Chicago Blackhawks Friday night.

Scheifele gave the Jets a 1-0 lead 4:17 into the game but that was all the scoring Winnipeg could muster as they continue to struggle conspicuously, dropping their sixth consecutive game. Scheifele's eighth goal of the season ended a 10-game drought and was only his second in the past 22 games.
Feb 6 - 11:49 PM

Mark Scheifele hasn't scored a goal in his past 10 games.

He also has one marker in his last 21 appearances and coach Paul Maurice wants to see him shoot the puck more. "It takes a little bit of courage and experience to want to shoot the puck, to be the shooter on the line," said Maurice. "Especially with young players, they're looking to make plays. He's got some good skill, so we don't want to take that away from him. We'd like him to shoot the puck as much as he can. He had four (shots) blocked (against the Calgary Flames), so he's trying to get the puck to the net." Scheifele has seven goals and 27 points in 53 games.
Feb 5 - 9:35 AM

Mark Scheifele posted two assists in Tuesday's 8-2 win against Florida.

He also finished the match with a plus-4 rating. Scheifele ended a 10-game goalless drought on Sunday and he picked up an assist as well, so he appears to be heating up offensively again. However, that doesn't seem to matter to him as much. "I don't really worry about the points and goals as much," Scheifele said. "It's a matter of when I know I'm playing a good game, that's really what matters." He has seven goals and 24 points in 44 contests.
Jan 14 - 9:47 AM

Mark Scheifele scored a goal and an assist in Winnipeg's 5-4 shootout loss to Anaheim.

All of Scheifele's damage was done in the first period. Scheifele assisted on Zach Bogosian's goal and then scored one of his own to extend the Jets' lead to 3-1. The 21-year-old had an opportunity to extend the shootout in sixth round, but was stopped on his attempt. Scheifele has seven goals and 15 assists in 43 games this season. Evander Kane and Andrew Ladd also scored for the Jets.
