Mark Scheifele scored for the Jets in their 3-2 win against the Coyotes on Saturday night.

There might not be a lot of time remaining to get Scheifele at a discount. The 22-year-old is a high-end center in the making. He has eight goals and 13 points in 21 games, with three goals and four points in his last two contests. Chris Thorburn and Dustin Byfuglien got the other goals.
Nov 21 - 10:20 PM

Center Mark Scheifele scored two goals and added an assist in the Winnipeg Jets' 4-1 victory Wednesday night over the visiting Vancouver Canucks.

Scheifele's goals were his sixth and seventh of the season. His contributions were matched by teammate Drew Stafford, whose two goals also gave him seven on the season. His assist was his third. Mathieu Perreault also had three points Wednesday, all assists. He now has 15 assists on the season. The win was badly needed by the Jets. They were 0-5-1 in their previous six games.
Nov 18 - 10:29 PM

Mark Scheifele is excited to have Andrew Ladd as a winger for Monday night's game against St. Louis.

"He knows how to score, he knows the right places, he goes to the dirty areas and he plays a solid 200-foot game," said Scheifele. "It will be exciting to try and build some chemistry with him and I'm excited for tonight." He doesn't have a point in his last five games.
Nov 16 - 2:21 PM

Mark Scheifele recorded an assist in a 5-1 loss to the Habs on Sunday.

The Jets looked like a tired team playing the second half of a back-to-back on Sunday. Scheifele recorded his assist on Chris Thorburn's third period goal, and now has eight points in 12 games this season. Scheifele is a good bet for at least 50 points this season.
Nov 1 - 9:57 PM

Mark Scheifele scored his fourth goal of the season in Thursday's 3-1 win over Chicago.

He scored in three straight games to start the year, but he hadn't scored since Oct. 12 entering Thursday's match. Still, Scheifele has contributed four points, including three assists, in his last five outings.
Oct 30 - 7:49 AM

The Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild are developing a bit of a rivalry according to Mark Scheifele.

"They're close (in proximity) and in the respective buildings, there's a bit of both fan bases (in the crowd)," said Scheifele. "Obviously, we both play similar styles as well. The last few years, there have been some intense games and big games that both teams have won. They're a good team, we're a good team. We get ramped up to play against them, for sure. It's going to be exciting and we're ready for it." The two teams will face-off in Winnipeg at 6:00 pm eastern on Sunday.
Oct 25 - 8:15 AM

Mark Scheifele found the back of the net for a third straight game Monday.

He has three goals on six shots in three games to start the 2015-16 season. Scheifele's ice time has gone up each contest and he logged 17:59 against the Islanders on Monday afternoon.
Oct 13 - 6:57 AM

Mark Scheifele has scored in each of his first two games of the year.

However, he isn't concerned with generating points, he just wants "to continue to build" and "continue to get better and better every day." Scheifele made great strides last season and it looks he will take another step forward this year.
Oct 12 - 9:53 AM

Mark Scheifele tallied a goal in Thursday's season opener versus Boston.

He also won six of his eight faceoffs in the contest. Scheifele led the Jets in preseason scoring and he carried that success with him into the start of the 2015-16 schedule when he scored Winnipeg's first goal of the year.
Oct 9 - 7:42 AM

Mark Scheifele topped the Jets in preseason scoring with five points in five games.

Defenseman Ben Chiarot tied Scheifele for the lead with three goals. The Jets rested some of their top guns throughout the exhibition schedule, but it's encouraging to see Scheifele playing well. He will look to improve on his 15-goal, 49-point campaign from a year ago.
Oct 5 - 9:35 AM

Mark Scheifele potted two goals and added an assist in Thursday night's preseason victory over Calgary.

Scheifele connected with rookie Nikolaj Ehlers (who had a goal and an assist) as the Jets held on to beat Winnipeg 3-1.
Oct 1 - 11:46 PM

Mark Scheifele has added 11 pounds of muscle this off-season.

The young forward trained with former NHLer Gary Roberts and the results have been noticeable. "It’s a pretty big jump, so hopefully I’m turning into a man sooner than later," said Scheifele, who is entering his third season in the NHL after putting up a career-high 15 goals and 49 points last year. "The way Gary approaches it is unbelievable. We had DNA testing this year to see what foods digest well in our system. I learned a lot of things about my body and the kind of athlete I am. Hopefully I can carry that knowledge into the season."
Sep 20 - 11:17 AM

Mark Scheifele feels he learned a lot from Winnipeg's first-round playoff exit against Anaheim.

"Obviously, it's going to ramp up and it's tough change from the regular season to the playoffs, but that's something you want to learn from, and obviously, I learned a lot from these four games I played in the playoffs, he said. He plans to get stronger over the summer to continue his development on the ice. Scheifele registered career highs in 2014-15, with 15 goals and 34 assists for 49 points in 82 games.
Apr 27 - 1:06 PM

A roughing penalty on Mark Scheifele at the end of the second period served as a turning point in Game 1's loss to Anaheim.

The Ducks scored on the power play at the start of the third to tie the game at 2-2. "It was just a hockey play. He gave me a slash and I pushed him back. Obviously I wish I could take it back, but I can't focus on that too much," said Scheifele. "It's done and over with, and all we can do is think about the next game." Ryan Kesler appeared to embellish on the play, but Scheifele has to be smarter in that situation. Before the penalty, Scheifele picked up his first career point of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with an assist on a goal by Drew Stafford.
