Mark Scheifele posted two assists in Tuesday's 8-2 win against Florida.
He also finished the match with a plus-4 rating. Scheifele ended a 10-game goalless drought on Sunday and he picked up an assist as well, so he appears to be heating up offensively again. However, that doesn't seem to matter to him as much. "I don't really worry about the points and goals as much," Scheifele said. "It's a matter of when I know I'm playing a good game, that's really what matters." He has seven goals and 24 points in 44 contests. Jan 14 - 9:47 AM

Mark Scheifele was in on each of Winnipeg's goals Thursday night with a goal of his own and two assists, however the Jets lost 4-3 in a shootout.

Scheifele's goal was a true display of shooting skill as he positioned himself to shoot far-side, but instead beat Calvin Pickard short-side over the glove to put the Jets up 3-1 early in the third. He now has four goals and 13 points on the season.

Mark Scheifele wants to improve his offensive output going forward.

The 21-year-old has just three goals and 10 points in 27 games this season. "I don't think it's exactly where I want it to be," said Scheifele when asked to assess his game. "I know I can be better. But the team's winning, and if the team's winning everyone has got to be doing something right." The former seventh overall pick in 2011 hasn't scored since November 18th (seven games).

Mark Scheifele tallied a power-play goal in Winnipeg's 3-1 win over Nashville on Tuesday.

Maurice mixed up all four lines before the game but the low scoring results didn't change.

Mark Scheifele continued his strong preseason by adding in another goal Thursday night against Calgary.

Still just 21-years-old, Scheifele is entering his second season in the NHL, and is looking to make his mark - pardon the pun. His play has been dominant so far in September and though it's early, it looks like he may be as dominant an offensive force as Jets fans have hoped for. He skated 17:45, including 4:47 on the powerplay and 4:06 on the kill.

Mark Scheifele reported to Jets' camp in great shape.

He is both more muscular and stronger after training with former NHLer and fitness guru Gary Roberts this past offseason. "I put on weight but the big thing Gary (Roberts) helped me with was cutting some body fat as well, said Scheifele. "It was a matter of putting on more muscle and cutting a bit of baby fat." We really like Scheifele's chances of having a breakout season in 2013-14 after the step up he took last year. We can certainly see him registering 50 points in 2014-15.
