There is a chance that Mark Scheifele will be able to return tomorrow against the Dallas Stars.
Speaking to the media, head coach Paul Maurice stated he is hopeful that his star center and Adam Lowry (upper body) will both be able to return from long absences. The 25-year-old Scheifele has 51 points in 50 games and could provide fantasy general managers with a big boost during the fantasy post-season. Speaking to the media himself, Scheifele said he feels 'good to go'. Mar 17 - 2:16 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) was skating with his teammates during Saturday's practice.

Scheifele, Shawn Matthias and Marko Dano formed what looked like a fifth line, meaning none are expected to play tomorrow against the Dallas Stars. It's a good sign that Scheifele is healthy enough to practice and hopefully we will see him back in the lineup some time in the upcoming week.
Mar 17 - 12:27 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) won't be back in the lineup Thursday.

Scheifele took part in the morning skate. He is expected to practice fully on Saturday and then a determination on his status for Sunday's game versus Dallas will be made. Scheifele appears to be close to a return from an upper-body injury.
Mar 15 - 12:40 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) will miss Monday and Tuesday's games.

Scheifele did skate Monday morning, but he was wearing a no-contact jersey. The plan for the Jets is to be cautious with him, especially with the playoffs right around the corner. He has 21 goals and 51 points in 50 games this season.
Mar 12 - 12:57 PM

The Winnipeg Jets will be cautious with Mark Scheifele.

Scheifele suffered an upper-body injury on Tuesday night and he hasn't played since. "We did think (the injury) is significant right now. It doesn’t feel right to him," said head coach Paul Maurice. "So, we’re going to get as many tests as we need to, to get it cleared up. It’s not a concussion. "We’ll be real, real careful with this one. We don’t want anything to linger on this, where he’s in and out of the lineup for a week or two. We’ll wait until he’s right. We’ll be patient with him." The last thing the Jets need is for Scheifele to come back to soon, injure himself again, and be forced to miss playoff games.
Mar 10 - 9:51 AM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) will not be available on Saturday.

It will be his second straight game on the sidelines. He's considered day-to-day, but it's unclear when he will be ready to play again.
Mar 9 - 1:52 PM

Mark Scheifele (upper body) is regarded as day-to-day.

Scheifele didn't sustain any structural damage and this isn't related to the upper-body issue he had earlier in the season. He suffered the injury on Tuesday and reportedly was seen mouthing he words "collarbone" and "hard to breathe" to the Jets medical staff. It sounds like the news about him was mostly good on Thursday though, so hopefully he won't be sidelined for long.
Mar 8 - 12:53 PM

The Jets did not provide an update on Mark Scheifele (upper body) on Wednesday.

It doesn't seem like Scheifele will be available to play against New Jersey Thursday night. He was roughed up in Tuesday's game versus the New York Rangers and may have injured his collarbone following some hard hits. Coach Paul Maurice should have more to say about Scheifele's status after the team's morning skate.
Mar 8 - 11:20 AM

Winnipeg expects to know more about Mark Scheifele's upper-body injury on Wednesday.

Cameras reportedly caught him mouthing the words "collarbone" and "hard to breathe" to the Jets medical staff when he was heading to the locker room. "We're hopeful. It has nothing to do with his previous injury, so that's the positive," said coach Paul Maurice. "Well I mean he was pretty stiff there, we'll know more tomorrow. That's the best I can do." Scheifele missed 16 games earlier this season with a suspected shoulder injury.
Mar 7 - 12:19 PM

Mark Scheifele suffered an upper-body injury on Tuesday night.

Scheifele left the game after taking a hit from Rangers blue liner Rob O'Gara behind the net. This obviously isn't good news with the playoffs right around the corner. Jets fans and his fantasy owners will have to hope that this injury won't force him to miss an extended period of time. We'll consider Scheifele day-to-day for now.
Mar 6 - 9:19 PM

Mark Scheifele tallied a pair of goals in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to Nashville.

Scheifele scored twice in a wild second period to give the Jets a 3-1 lead at the time. Both teams combined for seven goals in the second stanza. Scheifele has six goals and seven assists in nine games since returning from injury. He is up to 21 goals and 51 points in 47 matches this campaign.
Feb 28 - 11:41 AM

Mark Scheifele has been named the third star of the week.

Scheifele recorded three goals and seven points in three games. He had two three-point efforts and has been great since he returned to the lineup from a shoulder injury. Scheifele has racked up 18 goals and 46 points in 43 matches this year.
Feb 19 - 4:49 PM

Mark Scheifele registered three assists in Friday's 6-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

The 24-year-old helped set up goals by Blake Wheeler, Andrew Copp (shorthanded) and Patrik Laine (power play). Scheifele now has 17 goals and 28 assists in 42 games this season. He's a must-start in all fantasy formats.
Feb 17 - 9:32 AM

Mark Scheifele scored twice, including a game-tying goal, and added an assist in a 4-3 overtime win over the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.

Scheifele opened the scoring before tying the game with 15 seconds left, sending the game to overtime. Tyler Myers finished the job in the extra session. Scheifele is up 17 goals and 42 points in 41 games this season.
Feb 14 - 12:32 AM

Mark Scheifele played 23:32 in his return to the lineup on Friday night.

Only defenseman Dustin Byfuglien played more minutes than Scheifele in Friday's game against the Blues. It was the Jets forward's first game back in the lineup since he suffered an upper-body injury just over six weeks ago. He finished the night with no points, a minus-1 rating and one shot on goal. "Obviously the main thing is it sucks we lost. Had to shake off a little bit of rust early, but felt better and better as the game went on and got more comfortable," said Scheifele.
