Matthew Nieto will be in the lineup Wednesday night in Game 2 versus Pittsburgh.

He hasn't played since May 9 because of an upper-body injury and sat Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final as a healthy scratch. Nieto has three points in 11 contests in the postseason.

Coach Peter DeBoer called Matthew Nieto a consideration for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

He was a healthy scratch Monday after recovering from an upper-body injury. Nieto hasn't played since May 9 in Round 2 versus Nashville. Tommy Wingels or Dainius Zubrus could be in the press box Wednesday if Nieto returns.

The 23-year-old practiced on Friday and Saturday, but he wasn't skating on any of the four lines. Even though he might be available, it doesn't look like he'll suit up on Monday. Nieto partook in practice Friday for the first time since Game 6 in the second round against Nashville when he crashed into the goalpost. He is still wearing a brace under his uniform so it is unlikely he will be ready for Game 1. "I’ve been shooting the puck fine, and passing and moving great, so to take that next step was a good feeling," Nieto said. "That's my first time skating with the group in a few weeks and its a lot more fun being out there with everyone than just by myself. Progress is always good, and it felt awesome."
