He skated alongside Mike Ribeiro and Colton Sissons, while overtime hero Viktor Arvidsson played with Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg. Smith has been dealing with a lower-body injury during the playoffs and he has registered two points in 10 games.

Craig Smith will play in Tuesday's Game 3 against San Jose after all.

Originally thought to be sidelined again with a lower body injury, Smith will skate to the right of Colin Wilson and Mike Fisher on Nashville's second line as Mike Ribeiro gets scratched. Smith has a goal and an assist in six games this postseason.

Craig Smith (lower body) is questionable to play in Game 3 on Tuesday night.

He didn't take part in the morning skate and has been dealing with a lower-body injury since Game 3 of the opening round. Smith sat out Game 1 versus San Jose in Round 2, but was able to play in Game 2 on Sunday.

The winger has been dealing with a lower-body injury throughout the playoffs. Nashville is 0-4 in playoff games that Smith has missed, including Game 1 of this series. He had 21 goals and 37 points in 82 regular-season games. Smith has a goal and an assist in five playoff games. He's certainly a welcome addition.

It may be just a coincidence but the Predators are 0-4 in playoff games that Craig Smith has missed.

Smith is dealing with a lower-body injury and his status for Game 2 Sunday against the Sharks is not known at this time. Of course, many believe that the Preds' lack of success without Smith in the lineup is no coincidence at all and that the tenacious forward is far more important to the team than the casual fan might think. Confirming a previous item, Craig Smith will suit up in Game 6 against the Anaheim Ducks.

The news became official just moments ago. Smith missed most of Game 3 and all of Games 4 and 5 of the series. Coincidentally, the Predators have lost each of those games. Nashville needs to win Game 6 to force a Game 7 on Wednesday night.

Coach Peter Laviolette wouldn't say if Craig Smith (lower body) will be back in the lineup on Monday night.

"I haven't talked to anybody yet this morning," Laviolette said when he was asked about Smith's status. He has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, but he was a full participant at the morning skate. Smith is looking probable to play, but the pregame warmups will likely determine his status.

Craig Smith (lower body) appears to be on track to return Monday night in Game 6.

He took part in the morning skate after he was on the ice with some teammates on Sunday. Smith looks like he's well enough to play even if he isn't quite 100 percent. The Predators can be eliminated from the playoffs on Monday, so that could get Smith back into the fold. He is still day-to-day for now and his status may not be determined until close to game time.

This will be Smith's second straight game out with his injury. He posted a goal and two points during the first three games of the series, however. Smith is considered day-to-day.
