Nashville Predators prospect Chase Balisy grew up down the street from Jonathon Blum.

What makes it interesting is that they grew up on the same street, a few houses apart, in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, and do not know each other. Balisy moved to Toronto for the winter when he was 10 and played his hockey there while Blum stayed in California until he was 16 before hooking up with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. Balisy now plays with Western Michigan and was taken in the sixth round as a potential offensive threat. "He's a very offensive-type of player," GM David Poile said of Balisy. "We're hoping in his years in college that he will get bigger and stronger and has a chance to play with us some day."
