Vincent Trocheck netted the only goal for the Panthers in their 3-1 loss to the Penguins on Saturday night.
Trocheck hadn't played in a week. He beat Marc-Andre Fleury on the power play at 7:31 of the first period. The 21-year-old certainly has some promise, but with three goals and 12 points on the year, he’s not quite ready to become a mainstay in fantasy lineups. Jonathan Huberdeau and Aaron Ekblad had the helpers. Dec 20 - 10:44 PM

Vincent Trocheck and Brad Boyes will return to Florida's lineup on Saturday night vs. the Penguins.

Of the two, only Trocheck is of much value right now. Through 20 games, he has two goals and 11 points, along with 35 hits and 93 faceoffs won.
Dec 20 - 7:30 PM

There is a very good chance that Vincent Trocheck will draw back into the Panthers' lineup Saturday night against the Penguins.

Trocheck, who was a healthy scratch for the Cats' last game Thursday against Philadelphia, is a Pittsburgh native and has 50 family and friends coming to Saturday night's game. It would be incredibily bad form on the part of coach Gerrard Gallant to sit him for this contest. Trocheck has also played well and has been one of the more effective rookies this season. We would play Trocheck Saturday as he surely will want to impress those who have come to see him.
Dec 20 - 10:17 AM

Vincent Trocheck and Brandon Pirri will be healthy scratches on Wednesday against Philadelphia.

"Those kids have played well, they've worked hard and they're competing hard," coach Gerard Gallant said. "Now we've got a healthy lineup except for Shawn Thornton so guys are battling. It's tough for me to sit out guys that have played well but I like the way our team is playing."
Dec 18 - 5:44 PM

Vincent Trochek, Brandon Pirri, Shane O'Brien will all be healthy scratches on Tuesday night against Washington.

Of that trio, perhaps only Trocheck is worth keeping an eye on in deeper pools. Through 19 games, he has two goals, 11 points, 35 hits, and 44 shots on goals this season.
Dec 16 - 7:21 PM

Vincent Trocheck knows that his roster spot isn't secure even though he's been productive for the Panthers this season.

The rookie forward started the year in the minors and he could be sent back because Florida has a logjam of forwards. "It's as simple as that. You don't really know, so you just have to go out there every night and work your hardest," Trocheck said. "That's what you've got to do as a call-up, you've got to come up and prove that you belong here." He has recorded 11 points in 14 games this season, which has reportedly made the Panthers very interested in moving veteran players to make room for him on their roster.
Dec 4 - 10:46 AM

Florida center Vincent Trocheck scored a goal and added two assists for the Panthers Tuesday as they defeated Detroit by a score of 4-3.

After a torrid start to his season Trocheck hit a rough patch that led to his benching for game last week, but he has returned to the ice with a renewed motivation. He has registered five points in four games since he was scratched and has been a catalyst for linemate Jimmy Hayes, who notched a goal and an assist in this victory. Aaron Ekblad and Sean Bergenheim also found the back of the net in the win.
Dec 2 - 11:59 PM

Vincent Trocheck registered two assists in Florida's 3-2 win over Ottawa.

Trocheck picked up an assist on Dylan Olsen's first period goal and also on Jimmy Hayes' game-winning goal in the third period. The 21-year-old went from being a healthy scratch earlier this week to being the first star tonight. Trocheck has one goal and eight points in 12 games this season.
Nov 28 - 11:51 PM

Vincent Trocheck was a healthy scratch Monday night against Minnesota.

Florida got Brandon Pirri, Scottie Upshall and Sean Bergenheim back in the lineup from injuries, so the Panthers had to make some changes. Trocheck's five-game point streak came to an end last Thursday. He has six points in 10 NHL appearances this year.
Nov 25 - 9:21 AM

Vincent Trocheck stretched his point streak to four games on Sunday.

His first goal of the season gives him five points in his past four outings. Trocheck is making it tough for the Panthers to send him back to the minors. Florida has some injured players on the mend, so roster decisions will have to be made soon.
Nov 17 - 7:57 AM

Vincent Trocheck is making a strong case to remain with the Panthers even after a number of the clubs' injured forwards are ready return to action.

Trocheck was called up to Florida from San Antonio of the AHL six games ago as the Panthers had a number of forward injuries. The initial plan was for Trocheck to return to the Rampage once some combination of Brandon Pirri, Sean Bergenheim and Dave Bolland returned to action. With Pirri and Bergenheim close to a return, the Cats are re-thinking that plan. Trocheck has played well registering four assists in the six games since his recall. Keep an eye on how the Panthers ultimately deal with Trocheck. If he stays in the NHL he may be worth a pick up in deep pools.
Nov 15 - 10:16 AM

The Panthers have recalled Vincent Trocheck from San Antonio of the AHL in time to play Saturday night against the Flyers.

Trocheck has six points in eight games with the Rampage and could get some meaningful playing minutes with injuries to Brandon Pirri, Aleksander Barkov, Sean Bergenheim and Dave Bolland. In 20 games last season with the Cats Trocheck registered eight points. He is worthy of your "watch list".
Nov 1 - 10:33 AM

The Florida Panthers have sent Vincent Trocheck to their AHL affiliate in San Antonio.

Trocheck played in 20 games for the Panthers last season, scoring five goals and eight points. The 21-year-old has a good amount of upside and will likely rejoin the Panthers at some point this season.
Oct 4 - 10:16 AM

Vincent Trocheck wants to be a member of the Florida Panthers when the 2014-15 regular season begins.

"I'm coming in with the mindset I'm going to make this team and do whatever it takes. "I'll come into rookie camp and exhibitions and have to put it in their minds that they can't send me down," he said. "Basically, that they have to have me here so that's what I'm going to do." Trocheck appeared in 20 games with the Panthers last year and he contributed eight points, with six coming in his last 11 outings. "Now I know I'm able to do it on the NHL level so definitely the confidence helps going into the season, knowing that I can," said the 21-year-old. "There's no doubt in my mind that I can be here." Florida added Derek MacKenzie and Dave Bolland in the off-season, but Trocheck is still hopes that he can make the team and contribute.
Sep 11 - 9:58 AM

Vincent Trocheck will suit up for the United States next month in the World Hockey Championships.

He notched five goals and eight points in 20 games with Florida this year, while earning 42 points in 55 games with AHL San Antonio. The Rampage won't qualify for the playoffs, but his playing days won't come to an end this spring until the IIHF tournament is over.
