Vincent Trocheck got bailed out by Panthers netminder Roberto Luongo after he thought he scored against Calgary on Tuesday.

Trocheck beat Flames goalie Karri Ramo through the legs with 6:25 left in the game, but his shot went off the post. "I've given it to myself after that. Not much you can do. I thought it was in the net, the light was on," said Trocheck. "Little did I know by the time I turned around the puck was at the red line. I just busted my butt to get back. They had a couple good chances right there." Luongo put an end to Calgary's rush with a great glove save to preserve Florida's victory. Trocheck scored his sixth goal of the season earlier in the contest.
Nov 12 - 8:16 AM

Vincent Trocheck picked up his fifth goal of the season in Thursday's 5-2 loss to San Jose.

It was a beautiful tally, and Trocheck now sits just two shy of his career high of seven set last season in 50 games. Through 13 games, he has 10 points and a 23.8 shooting percentage, so his true talent lies somewhere in the middle.
Nov 6 - 2:29 AM

Vincent Trocheck scored two goals and one assist in Florida's 4-1 win over Colorado.

Trocheck scored the first two goals of the game (on the power play) and added an assist on the game's third goal. The 22-year-old has been one of the surprises of the 2015-16 season. Trocheck has four goals and nine points in nine games. No one expected him to be on a point-per-game pace at this stage of the season, but there's a good chance his production will tail off.
Oct 27 - 11:08 PM

Vincent Trocheck scored his second goal of the season Thursday night.

He tied the game just 34 seconds after Artem Anisimov gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead. "I whacked at it 10, 15 times until it went in," said Trocheck said. "The next shift after a goal for either side is very important. We were trying to take the momentum away from them. And then we lost it." Trocheck had a four-point game back on opening night, but he didn't hit the scoresheet in five matches after that.
Oct 23 - 8:41 AM

Vincent Trocheck led the way for the Panthers with four points in their 7-1 thrashing of the Flyers on Saturday night?

He had a goal and three assists. Trocheck, a third-round pick from the 2011 draft, had a total of 22 points last season in 50 games. So this performance came out of nowhere, and in the least has put him on the radar for future pick-up consideration. Reilly Smith and Jaromir Jagr each scored twice, while Jussi Jokinen (goal, assist) and Nick Bjugstad picked up the other goals. Brandon Pirri and Aleksander Barkov got two helpers.

Vincent Trocheck had two assists in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars.

Trocheck picked up the primary assists on goals from Jussi Jokinen and Reilly Smith. The 22-year-old also finished the night with a plus-3 rating. Trocheck had a nice weekend as he scored Florida's only goal in their loss to Tampa Bay on Friday on top of the damage he did tonight. It looks like he's all but locked up a spot on Florida's opening night roster.
Sep 27 - 10:43 PM

Vincent Trocheck scored Florida's only goal in Friday's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay.

Trocheck scored the Panthers' only goal at the 9:05 mark of the third period with Florida already trailing 4-0. The 22-year-old still hasn't played a full NHL season, but he did register 22 points in 50 games last season. Trocheck should bounce between Florida's second and third lines throughout the season. His fantasy value is limited because of the Panthers' lack of scoring and his limited ability but he could surprise some and put up close to 40 points in 2015-16.

Feb 25 - 11:15 AM

Vincent Trocheck had the lone assist on Scottie Upshall's goal in a 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Despite the final score the Panthers carried the play for most of the game and probably deserved a better outcome. Trocheck was called up from the minors, where he had 11 points in his last 13 games with San Antonio, because of an injury to Dave Bolland.

Florida has had a logjam at forward and coach Gerard Gallant has had to make two scratches up front most nights, but that battle for playing time will probably continue after the All-Star break if Trocheck comes back up. Trocheck has four goals and 13 points in 28 games with Florida this year.
