Vincent Trocheck has been centering the top line because of Aleksander Barkov's injury.

He is skating between Jaromir Jagr and Jonathan Huberdeau. "Yeah, I thought they really clicked," interim coach Tom Rowe said. "They had some nice plays in tight areas where Jags and Huby like to make some plays, so that was really good that they were able to click with Troch as quickly as they did. So I'll probably keep [the line] together for a while." That doesn't sound good for Barkov because the Panthers have just four games left this season, but it could help Trocheck snap his 16-game goalless drought.
Apr 3 - 10:43 AM

Vincent Trocheck hasn't scored a goal in 14 straight games.

He has managed to contribute nine assists in the past 12 games, though. "I don't think he's shooting enough by any stretch," interim coach Tom Rowe said. "Sometimes he's in great position in the offensive zone and probably not taking the shot when it's available. He's probably thinking a little bit too much instead of just playing. He needs to give and go a little more, something him and I have talked about." Trocheck is second on the Panthers with 22 goals in 76 games.

Feb 23 - 8:57 AM

Florida Panthers center Vincent Trocheck ripped a slap shot through a maze of players with 4.6 seconds left in regulation and, somehow, it found the net for what was the winning goal in St. Louis Monday night.

With their 2-1 victory, the Panthers won their fifth consecutive game and recorded a perfect 5-for-5 road trip. Trocheck has been red-hot himself. His goal, his 21st of the season, was his eighth point in his past five games. Five of those points were assists. His goal Monday came from the high slot; Blues goalie Jake Allen never saw the puck. Jonathan Marchessault also scored for the Panthers, his 17th of the season. It gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Feb 11 - 8:55 PM

With the return of Alexsander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau, the Panthers have shuffled their forward lines.

Barkov and Huberdeau played with Jaromir Jagr on the first unit, while Vincent Trocheck centered the second line alongside Jussi Jokinen and Reilly Smith. Nick Bjugstad skated with Michael Sgarbossa and Jonathan Marchessaulton the third line, while Shawn Thornton, Derek MacKenzie and Colton Sceviour comprised the fourth unit. Although Trocheck will move down a line, he will still retain fantasy value as he will be able to avoid the opposition's top checking line. Adjust your roster accordingly.
Feb 5 - 10:24 AM

Vincent Trocheck is hoping that the Panthers can reset and bounce back.

Trocheck was the team's only All-Star. "I think frustration is probably the main thing going through all of our heads in Florida right now and the more frustrated you get the more it kind of spirals downhill," Trocheck said of the Panthers' inconsistent play. "It’s something we got to knock out of our heads. We’ll use this All-Star break, and we got a bye coming up, so use these two to kind of clear our heads." Florida will play on Tuesday and Friday before getting six days off. The Panthers are a disappointing 21-19-10, but even still they're just four points shy of a playoff spot.
