Vincent Trocheck will be an alternate on Team North American's World Cup roster.

The 23-year-old will only join the team if one of the current players on the roster drops out. Trocheck had 25 goals and 53 points in 76 games with the Panthers in 2015-16. He parlayed his big season into a six-year, $28.5 million extension with Florida this off-season.

Vincent Trocheck has reportedly agreed to a six-year, $28.5 million contract extension.

Trocheck was a restricted free agent after completing his entry-level deal. He stepped up last season with 25 goals and 53 points in 76 contests. He's still just 22 years old (he'll turn 23 on July 11), so it's entirely possible that he'll keep developing and make that cap hit look fairly good. But he only has the one impressive year under his belt so far, so the Panthers are taking a significant chance here.

Panthers GM Tom Rowe hopes to get Vincent Trocheck signed to a new deal before training camp in September.

"We made another proposal to them the other day, so we'll see what happens," Rowe said. "We want to put together the best team possible; Vinnie's a big part of that, but we also have a budget and salary cap we have to be aware of. We got to make it work for everybody." He received a qualifying offer on Monday to keep his rights, while they negotiate a long-term contract.

Vincent Trocheck and the Panthers are "close" to a long-term deal, according to the Miami Herald’s George Richards.

The 22-year-old forward is a restricted free agent this offseason. He broke out with 25 goals and 53 points in 76 points this season, and the Panthers seem to view him as key part of their future.

Vincent Trocheck and the Panthers are continuing to talk contract.

The 22-year-old, who is scheduled to become a restricted free agent come July 1st, had a breakout season in 2015-16 with 53 points in 76 games. The Cats would like to ink him to a mult-year deal.

Vincent Trocheck could move to center ahead of Game 6.

The Panthers are shaking things up because of the injury to Nick Bjugstad. Trocheck is expected to play on a line with Jussi Jokinen and Reilly Smith. The 22-year-old made his return to the lineup in Game 5 and played over 31 minutes in the game (double overtime). A win in Brooklyn would push the series back to Florida for Game 7.
Apr 24 - 11:15 AM

Vincent Trocheck will skate on Florida's third line during his return to the lineup in Game 5 against the Islanders.

This will be the youngster's first taste of NHL playoff hockey, and he'll be united with Jiri Hudler and Teddy Purcell. The veterans have combined for a goal and three points through the first four games of the series.

Vincent Trocheck (foot) took part in Friday's morning skate.

It looks like Trocheck will not play in Game 5 on Friday though, based on the morning skate. However, Trocheck wasn't ruled out entirely by Panthers coach Gerard Gallant and if he does play it will be as a third-line center.

Vincent Trocheck (foot) was seen in walking boot on Wednesday, which puts his status in doubt for Friday night in Game 5.

He had been skating but don't be surprised if he isn't quite ready to return. Trocheck has been sidelined since Mar. 29 because of a fractured bone in his foot.
Apr 22 - 8:18 AM

Vincent Trocheck (foot) won't return for Game 4 on Wednesday night.

However, he is getting close and could be ready to play in Game 5 Friday. "He's on schedule, is doing well but he's not playing [Wednesday]," coach Gerard Gallant said. "The near future, that's possible." Trocheck has been sidelined since he blocked a shot on Mar. 29 and broke a bone in his foot.

Apr 19 - 10:39 AM

Saturday marked the first time that Vincent Trocheck hit the ice since fracturing his foot on Mar. 29.

He could be available for Game 4 on Wednesday night, but head coach Gerard Gallant wouldn't commit to that idea. The 22-year-old had 25 goals and 53 points in 76 games in 2015-16.

Vincent Trocheck is still on track to play in Game 5 of the opening round of the playoffs.

He is still wearing a walking boot to protect his injured foot, but the Panthers seem to think he will be ready to go in Game 5 next weekend. Stay tuned for further updates on the Cats' underrated scorer.
Apr 16 - 10:24 AM

Vincent Trocheck (foot) is not expected to participate in the first four games against the New York Islanders.

He's still in a walking boot, which indicates it's difficult for him to skate right now. During the regular season Trocheck had a career year, posting 25 goals and 53 points in 76 games while shooting 14.3%. He'll be missed to say the least.
