Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his second goal of the season in a 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Pageau came racing in on a partial break and fired away a wrist shot for his second goal of the year. His point total has reached 10 in 17 games this season. He's a versatile NHL player but should only be garnering fantasy consideration in deeper leagues.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau picked up a goal and two assists in a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

Karlsson made a nice play on the penalty kill to break into the Flyers zone and find a tailing Pageau to buried his chance passed Neuvirth for his first goal of the year. Pageau now has six points in 10 games this season.
Oct 26 - 11:08 PM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau has agreed to a three-year, $9.3 million contract.

Pageau would have gone through an arbitration hearing had he not been able to agree to terms with the Senators. This deal represents a big jump from his previous two-year, $1.8 million contract. The 24-year-old scored 12 goals and 33 points in 82 contests in 2016-17.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau will probably be looking for a substantial raise in the off-season.

Pageau is a restricted free agent with arbitration rights. The Senators need to decide if it will be a long-term deal or something shorter after an arbitrator gets involved. Pageau played a solid two-way game during the regular season and stepped up offensively during the playoffs. He just completed a two-year, $1.8 million contract.
May 29 - 10:25 AM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau registered an assist in the Senators' 3-2 2OT loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 7 of the Western Conference Final.

Pageau came up big in the Senators' playoff run with eight goals and 10 points in 19 games. That's a huge from him offensively and it's one that we don't expect to lead to a significant boost in production in 2017-18. When gauging what he'll do going forward it would be better to look at his 33 points in 82 regular season games as a reference.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau opened the scoring on Saturday with his eighth goal of the playoffs.

What may be even more amazing is that he finally picked up an assist, his first in the post-season when he set up Bobby Ryan for the overtime winner. If you picked Pageau in your playoff pool, well then kudos to you.
May 14 - 8:30 AM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau netted six goals in Ottawa's second-round series win over the New York Rangers.

The Senators eliminated the Rangers in six games. Pageau sealed a 4-2 victory in Game 6 with an empty-netter and of course he had that spectacular performance in Game 2 when he found the back of the net four times. His other marker came in Game 3 versus New York. Pageau has been a superb penalty killer and checking-line player for Ottawa, but he has also proven that he is capable of chipping in offensively as well.
May 10 - 9:22 AM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored a goal in Tuesday’s 4-1 loss to the Rangers in Game 3.

Pageau was the hero in Game 2, as he scored four goals including the double OT winner, but tonight’s tally didn’t really make a difference. Pageau cut his team’s deficit to 4-1 late in the second period. Unfortunately for the Senators, that’s as close as they’d come to tying the game. Pageau is now up to six goals in nine games during the postseason. He's been an effective player for the Sens, but he won't continue finding the back of the net this often. Despite tonight's loss, Ottawa still leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 will be played in New York on Thursday night.
May 2 - 10:12 PM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored four goals to lead Ottawa to a 6-5 double overtime victory against the New York Rangers on Saturday.

Not only did Pageau have an amazing game, but his goals were incredibly timely as well. His second and third goals came late in the third period to close the gap for Ottawa and force overtime. As if the hat trick wasn't enough, he then scored the overtime winner. The 24-year-old forward had just 12 goals in 82 games during the regular season and 45 goals in 251 career contests. He also had one marker in Ottawa's first seven playoff games of 2017. Mark Stone and Marc Methot accounted for the Senators' other two markers.

Apr 22 - 11:15 AM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau collected his 100th career point during Saturday's 3-1 win over the Rangers.

Pageau recorded both a goal and an assist in the match, and it was his 11th goal of the season that brought him to the century mark. Pageau has 32 points in 81 games this season.
Apr 8 - 4:35 PM

Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored the only Senators goal in a 3-1 loss to the Canadiens Saturday night.

Pageau’s goal came just past the midway point of the second period when the Senators still had a chance to rally from the 3-1 deficit. Both goalies became stingy at that point, however, and would not let another puck get past. This goal gave Pageau double digits in that regard with 29 total points for the season.
