Nick Cousins scored in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators.

Cousins opened the scoring just 5:14 into the first period. The Senators managed to tie the game at one, but the Flyers responded by going ahead 2-1 on Michael Raffl's second of the year. Sens forward Kyle Turris tied the game with under two minutes left in regulation and Erik Karlsson scored the winner in the shootout. Cousins was the first shooter in the shootout, but he was stopped by Craig Anderson. He has two goals and three assists in 13 games.

Oct 30 - 5:01 PM

Nick Cousins will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Cousins picked up two assists in the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Kings last Friday, but was a little quieter in the following game. He had been playing on the third line with Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Dale Weise. Matt Read will slot into that spot in place of Cousins. Roman Lyubimov will take Cousins' spot on the roster.
Oct 18 - 8:23 PM

Nick Cousins assisted on two goals by the Flyers in Friday's 4-2 win against Los Angeles.

He had the primary helper on Boyd Gordon's icebreaker in the second period and he had a hand in Mark Streit's goal, which gave Philadelphia a 4-0 lead. Cousins had 11 points in 36 games last season.
Oct 15 - 9:53 AM

Nick Cousins replaced Brayden Schenn on the first power play Saturday.

Schenn is slated to miss the first three games of the season due to a suspension received in the playoffs last season so Cousins could have some fantasy value in DFS in the first week of the campaign. He had six goals and 11 points in 36 games with the Flyers in 2015-16 after being a third round selection in the 2011 Draft. He has little yearly fantasy value at this time as he is a bottom-two center when the Flyers are healthy.
Oct 9 - 9:39 AM

Nick Cousins isn't expected to be going anywhere.

The 23-year-old would have to pass through waivers to make his way back to AHL Lehigh Valley, and that's not very likely at all. Cousins posted 11 points in his 36-game stint with Philadelphia last season. He's been a near point per game player in the AHL the last two seasons, so we'd expect good things from him in 2016-17.
Oct 8 - 7:17 PM

Nick Cousins' recently inked one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers is a two-way agreement.

Cousins can earn $937,125 annually in the NHL, but his salary is reduced to $70,000 annually when he's in the minors. He had six goals and 11 points in 36 contests with the Flyers last season.
Jul 15 - 3:55 PM

Jul 15 - 12:45 PM

Nick Cousins got a qualifying offer from Philadelphia on Monday.

Cousins chipped in 10 points in 36 games with the big club last season. Fellow restricted free agents Brayden Schenn, Brandon Manning, Jordan Weal, and Petr Straka received qualifying offers from the Flyers as well.

Nick Cousins scored in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers.

He's scored five goals in his last 15 contests. The 22-year-old has eight points and a plus-7 rating in 22 games in 2015-16.
Mar 13 - 11:01 AM

Nick Cousins scored for the second game in a row Friday.

Cousins has taken over on the second line with R.J. Umberger and Jakub Voracek. He has three goals and five points in 12 games but has been quite impressive this week. He is worth picking up in deeper pools.
Feb 20 - 12:07 PM

Nick Cousins picked up his first point in the NHL in Sunday's loss to the Washington Capitals.

He picked up the second assist on Michael Del Zotto's first period goal. It took Cousins 17 games to register his first point. The 22-year-old has played in six contests in 2015-16. Cousins is getting a chance to center Philadelphia's second line because of the injury to Sean Couturier.
Feb 8 - 9:38 AM

Nick Cousins has been called up by the Philadelphia Flyers.

This roster move was likely in response to the fact that Sean Couturier will miss the next four weeks with a lower-body injury. Cousins has 12 goals and 38 points in 38 AHL contests this season.
