The 22-year-old further fuelled the argument to grant him his first opening night roster spot, as he's had a strong camp. His projected production likely won't warrant a pickup in standard leagues at this point.

Tyler Graovac was the only goal scorer for Minnesota in a 2-1 preseason loss to the Jets Monday night.

Jason Zucker and Christian Folin picked up assists on the lone tally for the Wild while Ilya Bryzgalov and Niklas Backstrom shared goaltending duties. Backstrom was the sharper of the two netminders as he blocked all 12 shots he faced in 30 minutes of game action.

Graovac had 38 goals and 73 points in 60 regular-season games for the Belleville Bulls in the Ontario Hockey League. Graovac was selected with Minnesota's seventh-round pick in 2011.

Tyler Graovac scored shorthanded for Team OHL in a 2-1 loss to Russia in Game 3 of the Super Series on Thursday night.

His Ottawa 67's teammate and 2013 draft eligible forward Sean Monahan had the only assist on the play. Team OHL had a 1-0 lead until midway through the third when Anton Shenfeld and Maxim Shalunov scored to give the Russian squad a victory.

Tyler Graovac netted his 17th and 18th goals of the season in Ottawa's 7-4 loss to the Kingston Frontenacs on Tuesday night.

The Minnesota prospect is finding the back of the net at goal-per-game pace 17 contests into the OHL season. "Just second effort and a lot more opportunity," said Graovac, who recorded a mere eight markers in 50 matches last season. "And goals bring confidence." He'll dress for Team OHL versus Team Russia on Thursday and on Monday November 12th in Super Series action as well with the hope of landing on Canada's radar for the World Junior Championships.

Tyler Graovac has a stunning 16 goals in 15 OHL contests.

Graovac had just 20 goals in 168 career OHL games going into this season, so that's quite a jump. He's only failed to find the back of the net in five games so far in 2012-13 and he has four goals in two contests this month. The Minnesota Wild claimed Graovac in the seventh round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
