Ondrej Palat has been reunited with Tyler Johnson.

The duo has played together for four years, dating back to their time in the minors. Nikita Kucherov was added to the mix during Friday's contest and the line played together again on Tuesday in a 7-3 win over Arizona. They combined for three goals and five assists in the contest. Palat had one helper to give him two goals and four points in his last five matches.

Ondrej Palat had a goal and an assist in Tampa Bay's 4-2 win over Winnipeg, Friday night.

They were pretty, too. Palat finished a 2-on-1 rush late in the second to make it 4-1 Bolts, but it was his helper on Vladislav Namestnikov's six minutes earlier goal that was a beaut. Palat now has six points, three goals and assists through eight games this season.

As expected Ondrej Palat's three-year is worth $10 million deal.

He received the same contract that fellow Calder Trophy finalist and teammate Tyler Johnson signed with the Lightning this off-season. "We were almost living together, playing together, and now we have the same contract," Palat said. "It's awesome. I was happy about his deal and I'm sure he's happy about mine." He added that he feels 100 percent now after experiencing headaches as well as light and noise sensitivities from a hit in Round 1 of the playoffs against Montreal. Palat said it wasn't a concussion, but those symptoms sure sound like one.
Jun 9 - 11:59 AM

Ondrej Palat has inked a three-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but it will probably be a contract similar to the one that Tyler Johnson signed in late May. Palat ranked second among NHL rookies with 59 points in 81 games during the 2013-14 campaign. He also led the team with a plus-32 rating.

Ondrej Palat has been named as a finalist for the Calder Trophy.

Palat scored 23 goals and 59 points in 81 games in 2013-14. Those numbers are slightly below Nathan MacKinnon in the rookie leaderboard. Palat is the underdog in the fight between him and MacKinnon for the rookie of the year award, but it's worth noting that Palat did break out in the second half of the campaign with 44 points in his final 42 games.
Apr 23 - 12:09 PM

Ondrej Palat's superb rookie season may be over, but he didn't go down quietly, scoring a shorthanded goal and adding an assist in Game 4's loss to the Habs on Tuesday.

Palat helped the Bolts back into the game, which they trailed 2-0 and then 3-1 in the third period. But a late penalty and the last-minute game-winning goal by Montreal finished the sweep and sent the Bolts packing. Palat is a solid candidate for the Calder Trophy after notching 59 points in the regular season, and then five more in the playoffs while maintaining a +35 rating during the season and playoffs combined.
Apr 22 - 10:14 PM

Ondrej Palat scored his first career NHL playoff goal in his return to the lineup on Sunday.

He missed Game 2 with an upper-body injury. Palat's power-play marker in the second tied the game at 1-1, but the Canadiens ended up winning the match by a score of 3-2. Due to Steve Stamkos' injury and Martin St. Louis' trade to New York, Palat finished as Tampa Bay's leading scorer during the regular season.
