As expected Ondrej Palat's three-year is worth $10 million deal.
He received the same contract that fellow Calder Trophy finalist and teammate Tyler Johnson signed with the Lightning this off-season. "We were almost living together, playing together, and now we have the same contract," Palat said. "It's awesome. I was happy about his deal and I'm sure he's happy about mine." He added that he feels 100 percent now after experiencing headaches as well as light and noise sensitivities from a hit in Round 1 of the playoffs against Montreal. Palat said it wasn't a concussion, but those symptoms sure sound like one. Jun 9 - 11:59 AM

Palat is the underdog in the fight between him and MacKinnon for the rookie of the year award, but it's worth noting that Palat did break out in the second half of the campaign with 44 points in his final 42 games.

Palat helped the Bolts back into the game, which they trailed 2-0 and then 3-1 in the third period. But a late penalty and the last-minute game-winning goal by Montreal finished the sweep and sent the Bolts packing.
